Excerpt From Sara Jay's "Hard As a Rock" :: Erotic Romance M/F/More (R)

Today's not only my anniversary; it's also the day my book dedicated to my husband, Hard As a Rock, comes out at Changeling!

Meet Canna, the insatiable faery from Hard As a Rock. She may be green, but she’s no newbie when it comes to The Pleasure Club. Patrons of the Club think she’s a pleasure poltergeist as she takes part in their sexy adventures, and this flirty faery loves to keep her secret!

Canna’s got her eyes on the club’s resident gargoyle statue, a seven-foot-tall Goliath among the rest of the club’s kinky decor. Even though he’s not real, Canna’s nightly visits with him certainly feel almost real enough…

Here’s one of the mini sex scenes in the book Hard As a Rock between Canna and a Pleasure Club patron enjoying a contraption called “The Handler.” There are several of these mini-sex scenes in the book, along with a self-pleasure scene and two full-blown sex scenes. Enjoy the scene below!

It was early. Only two patrons enjoyed the services of the club at the moment. One man buried his body between two giant, hanging breasts on one wall, while another sighed as six hands, attached to constantly circling arms, massaged his cock, balls, and ass. As with all of the other Pleasure Providers, both sets of realistic parts were soft, warm, and resembled true human anatomy down to the last detail.

Skintex, a revolutionary polymer made from latex and synthetic skin, was to thank for the realistic objects. Stuart Anderson, the club’s original owner, had financed its development in the mid twenty-second century. His great grandson, Rand, owned the club now.

Sighing contentedly, Canna approached the man at the revolving arms station. A popular attraction, the Handler was normally one of the first and last contraptions occupied every night. Extending her body to human size while still remaining invisible, she reached down and added her hand, a seventh to the mix.
The man’s eyes widened instantly, her fairy touch much more pleasurable than the synthetic human hands, no matter how realistic they were. “Sweet ghost,” he whispered, groaning.

Canna giggled, the sound barely brushing the man’s face like a sweet, cool breeze. Most of the people believed the Pleasure Palace to be haunted due to her nightly shenanigans, which suited her just fine. The sex thrilled her, but serving as the establishment’s resident pleasure poltergeist was fun, too.

She ran her long fingers along the underside of his balls, delightfully watching goose bumps trail his naked thighs. He jerked again, moaning as she continued her ministrations.

Thumbing the tip of his rigid cock with one hand, she drifted the other farther below his balls and over his perineum. She circled the soft area slowly with her index finger, etching invisible swirls of pleasure onto his sensitive skin.

He gasped when she spiraled the finger around the opening of his anus. Canna drove it into his body with a small, shallow thrust. Then she drove her finger deeper, past her meadow-colored knuckle, and twisted gently.

Jerking upward, the man’s body shot a thick rope of cum into the air. Canna’s green eyes glowed as she impishly grinned, watching the fluid fly. The liquid immediately and silently dissipated into the chemical filtration system of the modern sex club. The developers had, of course, thought of everything.

“Thank you,” he moaned, leaning back in spent ecstasy.

The first time was an accident.
A typical Monday morning, running around wildly, making a mess of everything. I grabbed my mug for a last gulp of coffee and splattered it over my blouse. I pulled it off, yanking a button loose in the process. I searched through my wardrobe, throwing my skimpy party tops to the side, praying that I had another clean office top. Finally I found one, but the material was too thin. You could see through it to my lacy bra, and through that to the dark circles of my nipples. I took a deep breath, pulled the new blouse and the bra off, and looked for more appropriate underwear. With a plain bra in my hand, I turned to glance at my alarm clock. But it wasn't the time that caught my attention. Out of the corner of my eye, through the window, I saw her. And I froze.
I'd never bothered with blinds on the bedroom window of my little terraced house. It overlooked farm fields and the garden of one big detached house, and I'd never seen any need to obscure my view for the sake of privacy. I knew a man and a woman lived in the detached house from glimpsing them in their garden occasionally, but I never saw them out and about in the village, and if I had we weren't even on the "Hi, how are you?" level of casual acquaintances.
Yet, here I was, dressed only in my stockings and office skirt, staring straight into the eyes of my neighbor.
My heart thumped in my chest and I seemed unable to move and do the simple thing of drawing the curtains, or even put a modest hand over my naked breasts. Instead I gazed into the teasing green eyes of the woman who was staring unabashedly at me. She was wearing a short summer dress that moved with the morning breeze, allowing me to appreciate how slim and long her white legs were. Her hair fell loose over her shoulders. If anyone had asked me before, I would have struggled to recall whether she was blonde or brunette. In the light of the morning sun, I could clearly see all the different colors -- red, brown, gold, light and darker strands mingling together to create a vision of beauty.
I felt giddy looking at her and forced myself to drop my gaze. My eyes lowered to the curve of her chest pushing against the material of her dress.
Color rushed to my cheeks. I stepped forward, pulled the curtains closed and tried to focus my mind on getting ready for the work day. As I put my bra on, I looked down at the pink-brownness of my nipples. Had my neighbor been able to see how hard they were from where she was standing?

"Carnivore!"
The scream reverberated inside Kelly Hatchett's earpiece and rattled down her spine. She dropped the vegetation samples she'd been collecting to take back to Earth and sprinted across the grassy plain toward the shuttle pod.
The faster she ran, the better her chances of survival. The four-legged behemoths that roamed this planet didn't move swiftly, but the pair of tentacles extending from their wide heads stretched vast distances. If one grabbed her...
Please, whatever deity there might be in the universe, don't let me die. There's so much more I want to do with my life -- find a special mate, earn a Distinguished Scientist rank, motherhood, a screaming orgasm!
Mentally, she smacked her head. When was the last time she'd had fun? She should've spent more time laughing with friends, and sought out more lovers. When her sister had invited her on an orgy cruise around Mars, she should've shaken off her unease and gone along. At least she would've been able to recall one audacious thing she'd done in her life.
The muscles in her legs burned as she pushed her body to the limit.
From the other side of the shuttle pod, two grayish-brown tentacles as thick as space-sail masts wrapped around the transport and tossed it sideways across the grassy moor. Kelly jerked to a halt, her heartbeat thundering in her chest. The other four scientists running in a semi-circle toward what they thought was safety looked as horrified as she felt. They all froze in place and watched their ride back to the orbiting cruiser explode in a fiery ball.
Shock immobilized her until the colossal beast trudged toward the two closest scientists. Armed with only short-range laser pistols, the team fired haphazardly at it, but the shots seemed to irritate rather than harm. The thick feelers flicked as if swatting a fly.
"Concentrate your shots!" the team leader shouted to the group, but Kelly turned with the others and bolted from the terrifying creature. The ground shook as the creature gained on them. One of its plodding steps equaled a twenty-yard dash for the team. Panic pushed her forward.
In her peripheral vision, Kelly watched tentacles coil around two of her screaming associates, pick them up and draw them backward toward massive snapping jaws. She slid her gaze away, unwilling to watch their fate. A loud crunch and the sudden quiet made her stomach churn.
The beast bellowed behind her, its long feelers whipping through the air searching for more prey. Her lungs expanded and contracted so fast she sucked up her auxiliary oxygen through her nose mask at an alarming rate. She stopped looking back over her shoulder. It didn't help.
She was going to die.
A loud whoosh streamed by overhead. What the hell was that? A resounding thud shook the ground so hard she stumbled. Holy stars! Was the cruiser firing down here? Before they'd left the ship, the captain had made it clear if they encountered hostiles, he wouldn't break the galaxy peace agreement to save a group of expendable scientists. She'd believed him. Besides, the trajectory had traveled horizontally.
Whatever it was, she didn't want to get hit by it. Running any faster seemed impossible but fear spurred her on, veering her toward a patch of shoulder-high grasses where she might hide. Long thin blades sliced her arms as she lunged through the tall brush.
A band of speckled brown flesh snaked around her ribs. Oh God. Oh God! "Heeeelp!" she screamed as her feet lifted off the ground.
Eyes scrunched tight, Kelly wasn't prepared for the sudden body slam to the ground. Pain shot down her spine all the way to her toes.
A heavy weight pressed down on her belly, holding her flat in a nest of crushed grass. She held her breath, waiting for sharp teeth to rip into her. And waited...
Unable to stand the suspense, she popped an eye open and slowly lifted her head.
The world around her blurred and tilted.
A male anthropoid wearing a loincloth sat on her stomach. Sunlight glinted off his skin, smooth and brown-speckled like polished granite, highlighting his ripped abs and muscular thighs. He looked surprisingly human, handsome in a rough sense. Long sable hair fell over wide shoulders, drawing her gaze to the patchwork of pale scars on his brawny chest. He was a fighter. A survivor.
Curiosity shone in his golden brown eyes as he regarded her.
She grunted and bucked against the big male holding her down. What was he doing? They had to run!
He lifted his heavy weight off her, but immediately resettled over her with his knees on either side of her hips, calm as can be.
It suddenly hit her that the ground had stopped trembling. A horrid stench filled the air. The creature --
He must have killed it.
Pent-up breath rushed from her lungs in a loud whoosh. She was safe! Amid her tremendous relief, she let out a joyful squeak and squeezed the stranger's impressive biceps. "Thank you!" She wanted to curl upward and give him a big hug, but the stern expression on his face stopped her.
"Shapitwa," the male said, pushing her back to the ground. His eyes looked hard, demanding. He glanced over his shoulder at a path tramped through the dense grassland. When he turned back, he put a finger to his lips and made motions telling her to lie still. "Shapitwa," he breathed softly.
The warrior tilted his head, listening. Kelly strained to hear footsteps, snarls, whispers, anything that might indicate danger, but all she heard was the wind sifting through the grass. She watched the alien relax his broad shoulders. The gleam in his eyes made him look downright smug.
Well, killing a ferocious beast ten times your size must make one proud.
He rambled in his native language, his tone full of himself. Great. Why was she always attracted to the good-looking, arrogant types?
She shook her head and reached for the translator module strapped to her belt.
He grabbed her wrists and slowly drew her arms over her head. Bending over her, brushing her breasts with his chest, he whispered again, "Shapitwa."

Gretchen stared at the little man across the counter. "You are not fucking serious." She was not going to be stuck in fucking Las Vegas over fucking Christmas.
No way.
No. Way.
"I'm sorry, ma'am. All flights to the northeast are grounded. There's simply nothing we can do." He gave her an apologetic but harried look.
She looked over at Russ, tears in her eyes. "Russell!"
He slid his arm around her shoulders and tugged her close to his strong body. "Relax, baby. We'll figure something out."
"Russell, it's Vegas! It's Christmas Eve!" They should never have agreed to come out here to this stupid convention, showing off their holiday wares. Only Russ would have come up with Christmas-tree-shaped butt plugs and snowflake nipple clamps.
"Having a bird at the little man behind the counter isn't going to change that. Just breathe." His hand rubbed up and down along her back as another stupid announcement came over the airport speakers, informing them that all northern airports were closed due to inclement weather, which translated to no flights out.
Gretchen stomped her foot, and her stiletto snapped, right off, and she just burst into tears. No. No way. Not her new Maddens.
Russell wrapped around her, tugging her out of the line. "We'll get a hotel, and we'll have the most amazing holiday. Imagine the sales they must have here on Boxing Day."
"We're in Vegas! Cheesy, neon, fake..." She stumbled on her broken shoe, their luggage dragging along behind them like a woebegone dog.
"We'll make it work for us, baby. We will make it work for us."
Before she could answer, something big fell over their luggage.
"Oh, fuck," said the something.
She squeaked and almost fell, but Russ's muscular arms wrapped around her, supported her.
"Damn, I'm sorry." The most beautiful guy, aside from her Russ of course, stood up and started wiping himself off. "I didn't see your luggage."
She waved her hand at him, trying so hard not to just have a meltdown. God, go away.
"It's okay, man." Russ propped her up against a wall and went to right their luggage.
"Are you sure?" Tripping Man peered at her. "You okay, miss?"
"I'm fine." Her eyes closed as her suitcase popped open and dildos went rolling across the floor. "Just kill me now."
The guy made a noise and Russ, the asshat, nearly choked trying to swallow his laughter. Tripping Man began to laugh.
She snapped the heel off her other shoe and growled. "I'm going to... Fuck."
She headed right out of ticketing and out to the festively lit cabstand. There had to be a hotel on the Strip somewhere she could drink at.
She was still waiting for a fucking cab to show up ten minutes later -- how could there not be one there? -- when Russ and the guy came out, pulling the now sedately closed luggage behind them.
"Baby, this is Dave." Russ put his arm around her shoulders. "Dave, this is Gretchen."
Dave held his hand out to her.
"Hey." Thank God for waterproof mascara.
"Russ was telling me you guys are in the same boat as me. In Vegas for Christmas."
"Yeah. Yeah, we are." She was going to cry again, which was stupid, but it was Christmas.
"Dave here has a hotel room. He's willing to share, babe."
"There's got to still be rooms here, right?" Christmas Eve with a stranger?
"We can try if you want to, baby. Let's go get food and see, yeah?" Russ wrapped around her, held her, and Dave just lifted one hand and a cab stopped right in front of them. This was no fair.
"It's the Mandalay Bay." Dave gave her a warm smile. "Best hotel on the strip."
She felt herself blush. "I bet the owner of the Bellagio would argue."
Russ's swat to her ass was sweet, sharp. "Be nice, Kitten."
Dave laughed, and held the door to the cab open for her. "They're fully booked. I checked."
She slid in. How on Earth? It was Christmas, for God's sake. Russ slid in beside her on the left, David on the right.
"There's like a million people stranded here." David told the cabbie where to go. "The whole northern half of the country is snowed in. I got in yesterday, but my luggage didn't. I came down to pick it up but apparently it's still stuck in Chicago or something."
"Yeah. At least we're stranded here together, huh, Kitten?" Russ's voice was low, soft, teasing, and she nudged him with her shoulder. He only called her that when they were playing.
"I can't imagine Christmas without you, Russ."
"Sweet." Dave grinned at Russ, the look a little wistful.
She cuddled into her man. "Are you here with someone or missing someone back home?"
"I wish. Either option would be better than single. Especially this time of year..."
"Oh." Suddenly she felt like the worst sort of bitch. At least she had her Russell, right here. "I'm sorry." She reached out, squeezed Dave's hand.
His hand turned, fingers curling with hers. "I have a suite. There's more than enough room, and then none of us have to be alone on Christmas morning." His fingers touched the center of her hand, tickling her palm, and it was like electricity hit her, in the pit of her stomach.
"Tell him yes, Kitten." Russ's breath tickled her ear, brushed her hair.

Beads of sweat dotted Baer's skin as he sat in the small adobe sweat lodge behind their quarters, surrounded by the others in his Triad. Something was wrong, seriously wrong, yet none of them could sense danger to the compound, the tiny patch of quasi-civilization the First Gen Warriors had worked so hard to create in the middle of natural chaos. The powers that had come to them, slowly at first, then with a vengeance once they'd been mated, let them see -- or more accurately feel -- into the future. It didn't always work that way for an individual's life or path. If it had, perhaps they wouldn't have lost their mate and their children almost a century ago.
At the thought of their lost wife and children, Baer's heart welled with sorrow. Things had been volatile then. Different. There had been no safe haven for Warriors. When the WCGA realized the offspring being produced by First Generation Warriors couldn't be controlled, the killings began, and very few survived unscathed. The children who were too old to be "re-educated" had been taken away, tossed into government-run orphanages with no knowledge of their own heritage. All special abilities had been forced down into the psyche so deep that they had been forgotten. The women -- mates to proud Warriors -- had been slaughtered. The massacre spared no one, and only a handful escaped to live in silent desperation, eventually dying without the other parts of their souls.
No. He would not relive it all again. Not now. There was potentially too much at stake for him to be distracted. There was someone... someone they needed to find. It was imperative they do so, and soon. That was all Baer knew for certain.
The others chanted softly, and Baer pulled his thoughts back to his Triad, shoving the past firmly in the back of his mind where it belonged. If they were to have a successful Spirit Walk, he had to empty his mind and open himself to the spirit world and to his Triad.
The three of them sat in a circle surrounding a large pot of burning incense. Fragrant smoke full of sage and lavender hovered above them like a blanket, allowing them to focus their spirits and see into the moving future. That was the folly of a future Spirit Walk. What they saw was only a small number of possibilities. The future was always in motion. Each thing they did to get there affected the outcome.
Naked, cross-legged, Baer looked to Tyger and Wulf in his mind. The three tuned themselves perfectly to each other during this time. They were one, pooling their strengths and power to tap into the spirit world. In this form, they could talk to the ancients who came before them, spy on their enemies, or find the source of the disturbance plaguing their dreams. It cost them, though. The merging of their minds demanded the merging of their bodies as well, though Baer didn't see it as much of a sacrifice. It was almost a compulsion. At times, even weeks after a Spirit Walk, Baer sought out one or both of his Triad for relief. This time, the need would be much worse -- he knew it in his very being.
Baer knew they looked for a person. Finding one person in the entire world would take intense, prolonged concentration. Sexual need was but a byproduct, one he thoroughly enjoyed.
In a dream-like haze, Baer let himself slip into the others. Their minds merged until they were not three but one. Images flew by with blinding speed, unfocused and impossible to distinguish or separate. Experience had taught Baer not to try. Images of importance would reveal themselves as they came along. Through the haze of color and lights in the vision, an image of the open sea appeared, clear and sharp. More so than if they'd actually been there. The intensity of it hurt his eyes. More than that, he could smell the salt in the air, hear gulls crying, waves crashing. Sea spray wet his body and clung to his hair. He could hear the creaking of wood as if he were on a boat before the image flickered and faded into a white, blinding light.
His first instinct was to fight the intensity of it, but he held himself strong in body and mind. He didn't flinch as one scene blended into another and he was looking at steel and concrete. Children laughed and called to one another before a deafening rumble drowned out all sound, shaking his insides until he thought his organs would liquefy.
Then there was silence.
What did it mean? Spirit walks could be incredibly helpful. More often than not they were infuriatingly vague. Just as he thought the images would stop, a pair of bright, deep blue-green eyes framed by long, dark lashes came into focus. They were delicately slanted, with the barest of dark liner around the lids. Flecks of copper and bronze sparkled in their depths, flickering as the light played across their surface. Deep in the pupils, he and his Triad were reflected.
Immediately, Baer was drawn to those eyes. They were obviously female, but it was more than that. He knew, deep in his soul, they must find this woman. She was in some way very important. Whether it was to the community or to them personally, Baer didn't know. But the pull he felt toward her, the pull they felt toward her, was a force they had no hope of resisting. Not unlike the first time they had seen their mate.
With a great whoosh the vision was sucked into the incense pot in the center of their circle. The air seemed to pull at them; their hair whipped around their faces as if in protest of the woman leaving. Whatever their future held, the one thing Baer was certain of was the woman. It was imperative they find her and bring her back to the compound. She was too important to send anyone but seasoned Warriors, ones who knew how to use their gifts. Besides that, it just felt wrong to even think about anyone else going to her...

The glare from the blue-blue water of the ocean nearly blinded Mara as she looked out the window of the airplane. She blinked, trying to let her eyes adjust. Spots rose in her vision, echoes of the brilliant shards of sunlight. She didn't want to look away, but finally had to. It felt like a failure, or a betrayal.
She looked at her watch. The plane would land soon. Her stomach shook with the uncertainty of what would happen next.
Would they come to her?
* * *
"Something happened to you," Cor had said to her two weeks before.
Mara jumped a little, startled. She was sitting in her favorite coffee shop with her best friend, and they had been enjoying a companionable silence for the last few minutes. The sudden sound of Cor's voice had caught her off guard. "What? When? Nothing happened to me."
Cor gave her a knowing look. "In Cancun. Something happened. You never really talked about it."
"I told you about it."
"Not in detail." At Mara's exasperated look, Cor clarified.
"Not that kind of detail. I mean about them. Whether you really liked them or not."
"I liked them."
"How much?"
Mara shrugged. She'd asked herself the same question several times since that vacation getaway to Cancun. "I didn't have much chance to get to know them." Only in the carnal sense.
"You know" -- Cor leaned forward and laid a hand on Mara's -- "sometimes it doesn't matter."
"Yeah." Mara said nothing else. There wasn't anything else to say. Aaron and Chris had been the strangest, most wonderful men she'd ever met, and she'd let them go.
* * *
In the dark depths of the Caribbean, even in the tropical waters that surrounded Cancun, it was cold. The dark, chilled water pressed down on Chris and Aaron where they lay curled together in sand under a ledge that thrust out from the seawall, offering them some camouflage from sharks and other sea creatures. They were on good terms with most of the fish and ocean mammals that frequented this area, but occasionally someone got cranky.
Aaron shifted a bit, not quite waking from the sleep that held him. Chris lay with his face in the sand, the water fingering through his hair, making it wave and sway like seaweed.
Something changed.
Aaron opened his eyes, unsure what just happened, what had awakened him. All around him, the water was dark and quiet. Then Chris awakened, as well, and looked at him.
"You felt it?" Chris asked. The means of communication they used when they were under the water wasn't really speech, but it wasn't telepathy either. Neither of them could have explained it. It just was.
"I did," Aaron answered.
"Is it...?" Chris ventured.
"It is," said Aaron, and then he smiled. "She's coming."
* * *
Mara stepped out of the shower, scrubbing her skin dry with the hotel towel, advertised as Egyptian cotton. It felt rough at first, then seemed to soften as it grew damp. She closed her eyes, letting herself sink into the sensations. She was in Cancun, after all. She could at least do her best to enjoy herself, even if things weren't going quite the way she'd hoped.
When she was finished, she slid into a lightweight cotton nightgown. It was brief, but not overly revealing. As it settled over her curves, she realized she'd even packed for the possibility that things might not go well. That they might not come.
She tried not to think about it, smoothing the cotton over her breasts and belly. The memories remained; she'd never lose those. She could enjoy her vacation, then go home and start again, this time without the haunting question hanging over her of whether she'd abandoned the one thing that could make her life complete when she'd turned away from Chris and Aaron.
Maybe she'd even find someone else who gave her that same sense of wholeness.
A nagging voice in the back of her mind told her it would never happen. She pushed her hands through her hair as if to shove the thought back. She didn't want it. Her life could be good again. She'd find it somehow.
Fighting the sense of melancholy, she stepped out onto the hotel room's balcony. It gave a wide, lovely view of the beach, and the portion of the hotel grounds that sat adjacent. A huge, silver moon, nearly full, had risen in the east, casting silvery light across the tips of the waves. It was bright enough to cast shadows, even where the light from the hotel facilities didn't reach. It was beautiful. How could she hold on to her melancholy, looking out over beauty like this? It seemed sacrilegious, or at best ungrateful. Leaning against the balcony rail, she let a soft breeze play with her hair, caress her face.
Mara.
She froze. She thought she had heard the word, the whisper against the sound of the waves, but it had been so soft she couldn't have truly heard it. Where had it come from, then?
She peered through the moonshadows, trying to pick out details in the silvery dark. There were still a few people on the beach, enjoying the sound of the waves and the slightly cooler temperatures that had settled in with the sunset. One couple in particular seemed to be making their way up the beach to the hotel. They were a bit unsteady on their feet, as if they'd had a few too many mai tais.
Two men, she realized as they made their way a bit closer. One taller than the other, both broad-shouldered, their bodies lean but wide through the shoulders, like swimmers...
Oh, my God.
She ran back into the hotel room, ran out into the hallway and, heedless of her state of relative undress, ran in barefoot abandon out onto the moonlit beach.

It took a brave human soul to dare offer themselves up to a Vampire Dungeon. Vlad and Demetri watched the little human woman as she went through the intensive screening. Chances were good if she'd gotten this far inside their secret little playground that she would make the cut to possibly become the plaything of their esteemed group of Vampire royalty. Pre-screening was many times more rigorous than the screening done at the Dungeon. The little human would do nicely.
"Look at that mouth." Demetri didn't bother trying to hide the impressive erection straining the crotch of his leather pants. Things like modesty were solely human concepts.
"Look at that ass," Vlad murmured, openly caressing his own very hard bulge. Demetri's friend had a point. She did have a very nice, full bubble butt. Perfect for a rough ride, if she was willing. Her application here showed that she was very, very willing. The Dungeon was picky about the human females they allowed in. Once she was admitted, she would wait, nude and in position, for a member to approach her. No female, human or otherwise, was allowed to choose her potential companions. They could refuse until someone to their liking came along, but they were submissives. They were expected to always bend to the wills of the Masters.
She was bent over a bar, the silver metal hitting her at the tops of her thighs. Her hands were splayed wide on a wooden "coffin" where all the subs presented themselves. The goth theme was strictly for show, but it made for an impressive sight. Several other men and women joined her, but Vlad and Demetri only had eyes for her. The creamy, milk chocolate of her skin seemed to beckon them like no other woman's ever had. The smooth, rounded globes of her ass jiggled and bounced with every movement of someone down the line.
Perfect. Absolutely perfect.
Demetri let his senses flare out to the dark beauty. She was highly aroused, yet nervous. She had every right to be. Submissives, once selected, were put through a series of tests to see how well they could stand up both mentally and physically. Admittance into this world wasn't something the Vampire royalty took lightly. Their subs were expected to withstand rigorous sex in any and every form imaginable. From pleasurable and erotic, to painful and almost unpleasant. A sub wasn't supposed to be concerned with his or her pleasure, but the pleasure of the Master. Some Masters treated their subs as treasures. Others...
Demetri liked to think he and Vlad were somewhere in between. That didn't mean they'd take it easy on their woman. She deserved to know exactly what she'd gotten herself into before things went too far. For some reason, he believed this human would be able to take it. There was something about her that called to him. It was in her unseen essence. Most humans had no idea they emitted it, but it let a Vampire know exactly the depth of their desires and needs. Hers wrapped itself around his cock and stroked it. Her aura screamed sub, the sweet innocence of her face an exclamation point on the unseen siren's call.

"You did what?"

Luc shrugged. Marcel had woken up in a bad mood.

"What the hell did you bring Jules Batteau into this for?"

He was tempted to let his brother rant on. After all, hypertension wasn't a worry for lupo mannaro and the guests had left for the day so they weren't around to be disturbed but no point in letting him get too full of hot air.

"I'd accommodate the Harshbargers, but I'll have to man the bar tonight. I can hardly ask Paul to when he gets up at dawn. We agreed not to have any of the women behind the bar and you won't want to, as your Mademoiselle Leroux arrives this afternoon."

That got Marcel's attention. "Claire? Why did you not remind me?"

"I'm reminding you now." Honestly. Marcel's attachment to this human was amusing. "She's here for just one night. So I presume you will want time to devote to her comfort."

Marcel's reply was closer to a lupine growl than human speech but Luc got his meaning. "Understand, now, why we need Jules' assistance? I can hardly ask one of the human staff to take on the job."

Marcel nodded. "Fair enough but I don't like the idea of vampires in the house. They belong out in the tower."

Luc agreed one hundred percent. "And that's where he'll return, but Maria promised this couple -- or rather the wife -- a romantic getaway in the south of France and they deserve their money's worth."

"Pity you couldn't have done the job last night."

Luc ignored that. It was none of his brother's business what he did last night. "At least it will keep Maria happy."

"Talking of Maria. Isn't it time she came home? Who knows what sort of werewolves she's associating with out there."

"You want to tell her that?"

"You should. You're the eldest."

Luc couldn't hold back the laugh. "But I was the one who suggested she leave."

"All the more reason you should tell her to come back."

Didn't sound logical to him, but damn he did miss her, and now that family of annoying loup garous had moved (damn French shifters thought they were the equal of the lupo mannaro) there was no danger of that trouble surfacing again. "Maybe I should. By the way, would you look over the dinner menus? Chef had some question about the sauce for the mullet." Or was it the haddock? Either way it got Marcel out of his hair.

Griff watched as the pretty blonde, Miss Kitty, swung around upside down on the pole, her ample breasts almost making him forget he was here with Mac.
It was Mac's fault anyway. Griff's lover had dragged him here every night for the last week to watch the sexy little pole dancer do her thing. He'd started bringing bills after the second night, but Mac wouldn't let him touch her. Together and not in a crowd. Mac had been quite firm on that. Spoilsport.
Tonight was the night, though, because it was Saturday, and Miss Kitty didn't work Sundays or Mondays, so they'd have more time. If she was willing. Mac said she would be. Griff was inclined to believe him. Mostly because he wanted Mac to be right, but also because he could smell it, too, could smell what had brought Mac here in the first place, what had made Mac drag him here.
It was why they kept coming back.
She was like them.
Different, she was not entirely, or rather not completely human. There was a hint of wildness in the air around Miss Kitty. It made Griff's cock stand at attention and his heart beat faster. Mac's too.
"So what do we do now?" he asked Mac after Miss Kitty walked off the stage and disappeared behind a curtain. That had been her last performance of the night.
"We have a lap dance, baby boy. Then we ask her to play."
"Lap dance?" Griff bounced. Finally, they were going to get to touch. "You think she will?"
Mac's eyes flashed. "She will."
Miss Kitty came out a few minutes later, going from table to table, before Mac caught her eyes. Griff moaned at the heat that suddenly sparked between them, even across the room. They needed somewhere private. Now. Or this was going to get very public. Her eyes went gold, for half a second, then she stepped back, face shocked.
Griff whined. "Mac?"
"There's private rooms in the back for the lap dances. Come on."
They stood and moved in her direction, herding her toward the back without threatening her.
She was one of them. Griff could hardly believe it, could hardly contain himself. He didn't know how Mac could be so calm. It helped him keep his cool, too, though, and he didn't pounce her the minute they got into the little curtained room.
"What do you want?" Her voice was a low, rumbling purr.
Mac growled out an answer. "We paid for a lap dance when we came in." He held up the ticket the bartender had given them, handed it over.
Griff nodded, his nose going up into the air. She smelled even better up close, but there was something else, something edgy about her.
"Sit." She shrugged her robe off, the sparkly bra and G-string fascinating, catching his eyes.
He sat down quickly and breathed in deeply, moaning at the scent of her.
Mac moved more slowly, sitting next to him -- sitting nearly on top of him. "You can do us both."
"It'll cost you double." She slinked over to him, sizing him up. "You're in a lot."
Griff nodded. "We came every day this week."
Mac elbowed him and he glared.
"I know." She straddled Griff's thighs, hands pushing through her hair as she slowly undulated.
Mac grabbed her leg, pulling it over his thighs as well, his other hand on her waist. "I said both of us."
"No touching!" Her growl was enough to make him howl. "I was getting to you."
Mac puffed up, going all Alpha. God, Griff loved that. He was already hard, but that made him even harder.
"Both at once," Mac insisted, though his hands dropped away. He was staring at her, though, and Griff knew how much like a touch that was.
Her belly rippled as she danced, her hands sliding over her body, teasing them.
Griff whimpered and licked his lips. "Beautiful." She was. She was stunning.
Mac growled his agreement, and Griff could see how much effort it took to keep from touching her. He reached out and grabbed Mac's hand.
She cupped her breasts, made as if to offer them, then leaned back. Griff drooled. She was so sexy, made him stupid with wanting her. She bumped her hips, rolling in time to the music. Mac's mouth landed on his neck, his mate sucking up a mark, showing her who he belonged to. It had him bucking, his free hand reaching for her.
"No touching." She slipped back a step, out of reach.
"Sorry. You're just so beautiful." So sexy. He wanted her. He wanted them all to shift, and he wanted to chase her.
"Thanks." The word was a low purr. "Hope you enjoyed your dance. I'm off the clock."
"Hey, now," Mac was growling again. "That was Griff. Now me -- we paid for both, and you've been in here with us for all of a minute."
She rumbled softly, bared her teeth. "Don't growl at me, Pup."
That made Mac snarl, but Griff's eyes went wide -- how had she known? Well, just like he and Mac knew her for one of them, right?
He reached out and touched Mac. They were going to play...

"Here we go."
Bobbie Ann pulled out a set of keys and led him to a service entrance for the arena. They wended their way through tunnels and under pieces of stage until they popped out at the north ring, where most of the prop-driven shows took place, like the tarot and the crystal lady. From there he had a clear view of the new and amazing set-up in the center ring, which had multiple levels of trapeze rigging and lots of shiny chrome. "Hell of a lot different than when I was still in the show."
Bobbie Ann snorted. "You're old. They're on in three or so. Can you handle the evaluation? I have a meeting with the costume manager." She shot her French cuff back to look at her watch.
"Sure. Nice to see you too."
"You have dinner at eight with Victor. Casual. That seafood place."
"I'll meet him at his bus."
"Excellent." She patted his hand before she let go. Then she disappeared, her heels making a lot less sound on the pads that were laid down on the wood floors. Sports arenas. Always protecting their precious playing surface.
He waited, his eyes adjusting to the gloom. Seconds after he started forward to get a better view at the rig, though, the technicians arrived, one of them a familiar face. David Rass, a senior stage tech, smiled at him, nodding. "Vance. You like the set-up?"
"I do. When do they start rehearsal?"
"Three minutes. You want a chair?"
"Please." He would settle in, be unobtrusive and observe the show. Then he'd go tell Victor what he thought and maybe troll the beach that evening before he turned around and went back home.
"You got it." David got him a chair before directing the stagehands on setting up the rig. Vance noticed that they also set up a net.
"They use this during the show, too?"
"All but for the last trick, yeah. Boss says it's a legal thing these days."
"Yeah." There were a whole lot more rules and regulations than there used to be regarding circus safety these days. "Do they actually need it?"
David gave him a long look. "Never seen anyone who needed it less than you until now."
"Even I fell." He hated to be reminded of that, but it was true. "That fall of yours would have killed anyone else. You were the best I've ever seen." David grinned a little. "These two don't have your style, but they make up for it in raw power. They're sexy, too."
"They're not siblings?" That wasn't unheard of, but often teams of two were related.
"Nope. Not even married. Hot as hell, though."
Hmm. Victor had said he was trying to spice things up a bit, to compete with the big shows in Vegas. Nothing too adult, but something with some heat behind it. Interesting. "Thanks." He settled in to watch, trying to be inconspicuous. It wasn't easy; he and Victor tended to stand out with their black hair and pale skin. Vance knew his bright gray eyes tended to make people nervous. One ex-lover had called them icy. Vance tended to think of them as clear and direct.
Music started up, and while there was no lighting check or live orchestra like there was at a real performance, the atmosphere would work for a basic rehearsal. A single, static trapeze was lowered from the rigging at the center of the ring. Vance squinted at the spotlighted area, waiting.
He saw her first. The female half of the act was small, maybe five feet tall, but she had the kind of body only professional athletes and performers could maintain. Small breasts and strong abs gave way to slim hips and strong legs. She had the legs of a gymnast. She wore a practice leotard and a pair of hand wraps, but her only other adornment was resin on her hands and feet. Her hair was pulled back in a simple bun, tight enough to keep it out of the way, but that didn't hide the fact that it was nearly white-blonde with pink streaks. Her face surprised him with its sensual arrangement. She had slightly slanted eyes, an upturned nose, and lush, full lips. Beautiful.
The music swelled, and she stepped up to the bar, grasping it with her left hand. Her muscles bunched and she lifted off, the bar rising back up into the air, leaving her dangling. Her first few moves were graceful, strong, and lovely, but nothing special. She had all the hallmarks of a great flier trained in Eastern Europe; she was seamless and musical, but it just didn't seem special enough for the Cirque Caprice.
Until she let go. She just let go of the trapeze and the bar rose out of sight before gravity even latched on to her. Just as she began what would be a nasty fall even with the net below, though, another flier swept through the air on a dance trapeze, the kind with a swivel instead of a traditional bar.
That would be the woman's partner. The man was just as stunning as his female partner, longer, a little leaner. He had the chest and shoulders of someone built as a catcher, which made him wonder what troupe they were from originally. He wasn't husky like an anchor, but he was long enough to be a primary catch artist.
Their twisting and turning on the long swivel line reminded Vance of birds of prey fighting. Swooping, diving, swinging, they maneuvered the female into split and catch ankle poses, backbends and single-handed shows of strength.
The poses were far from erotic or obviously sexual, but there was an energy to the performance that made Vance's hair prickle on his scalp, made him breathe harder. There was also something there, so subtle that someone without the same talent might have missed it. Vance didn't miss it at all. One or both of them had a very fine-tuned kinetic talent. Some of their catches would have just missed if they were average fliers; some of the hand-clasps were too loose to hold unless they had some help.
That was the thing that tipped the performance over the edge for Vance. He sprang a hard-on like he hadn't had in ages. It pulled up so fast that his lower belly ached a little. God, that felt good.
The music swelled to a crescendo, and the swinging, twisting act ramped up to a finale. The endgame was a full-release move with a double twisting flip that plunged the female into what looked to be certain death.
The dance line lowered with shocking speed, the male performer catching the girl maybe two feet from the ground. The two ended in a beautiful embrace on the floor of the center ring, touching down light as feathers. Goddamn. That was, indeed, hot.
He did the only thing a man could do when faced with a show like that. He stood up and clapped, letting them hear his appreciation.
