Born both a Stargazer and Daughter-Heir to the throne of New Zanadles, Jazlyn is used to a life of pampered luxury. But when the planet runs into financial trouble, her father agrees to bind her to a five-year term of service aboard a vessel with two very virile interplanetary merchants.
Her leisurely life is replaced by a whirlwind of Intergalactic Council intrigues and the lusty attentions of her new employers, but when space pirates attack, a routine delivery turns into a deadly struggle for control of the ship.

Jazlyn turned to Bryce. "Perhaps you can fill me in on where we're heading." She led him to the seating area under the great tapestry. She sank into the cushions of the overstuffed sofa, leaving him to choose from several large chairs. "My father didn't tell me why you contracted me instead of one of the Council Stargazers. I've never performed on any vessel but my father's."
She stared at him with those gorgeous green eyes, and he felt the blood pool low in his groin. This would definitely be an interesting voyage.
"We have a shipment of flash-dried subsistence packs for the Globar system. They're in the midst of the worst drought in recorded history and they're getting desperate." He hesitated to mention the Intergalactic Council's interest in the system, unsure of her political leanings. "We need a Stargazer's talent to cut travel times and get the shipment to them before anyone starves. Your father was the only one who expressed an interest in the contract."
Jazlyn raised a hand to sweep the hair back from her face, and the bangles on her arm jingled melodically. A frown marred the perfect line of her brow. "I had no idea the situation was so serious. You might want to reconsider taking on an untried Stargazer."
"None of the others were willing to take the contract." He held up a hand. "I'm sure you'll do fine. Your father seems to have a great deal of confidence in your abilities, as does the Commander of the Imperial Fleet." And he did not intend to trade this gorgeous morsel for one of the hard-eyed Council witches. "We've had a Stargazer platform installed, and I've arranged a meditation chamber just off the bridge for your use. We've never utilized the services of a Stargazer before, so if there's anything else you need, just ask."
"You've never used a Stargazer before?"
"No, usually we're fine with standard means of transportation." He grinned at her. "And we'd never make any money if we had to pay your father's rates on a regular basis."
She cocked her head and his eyes followed the shimmering blue streaks as the silky mass flowed down her back. Were they a sign of her talent or just nano-enhanced strands? He'd never paid much attention to the Stargazers he'd encountered before, but then none of them had caused his cock to harden so that it chafed behind the cloth of his snug leggings.
"Do you know how we work?"
The look of dread on her face caused him to smile gently. "I know enough. You can see the energy lines that join the stars and planets and can tap into them." He paused. "And I know you have to be naked in order to manipulate the energy, although I don't understand why."
Jazlyn visibly relaxed. "Clothing impedes the flow of energy. I use my body to channel the flow, so I don't want anything blocking that energy flow. Part of the reason for the specialized platform is to shield me from the crew." She wrinkled her nose in an endearing expression that made him want to drag her into his arms and kiss her until she couldn't breathe. "Some people have a real problem with nudity."
Bryce nodded in what he hoped was a comforting gesture, and shifted in his seat to ease the pressure of his clothing on his rock-hard shaft. He didn't have a problem with nudity. Right now, he'd be happy to have both of them naked, preferably somewhere other than in her father's palace. He didn't think the king would be overly impressed with what he had in mind for the Daughter-Heir.
"And then there's sex." Her gaze swept over his body in a frankly assessing manner. "We use sex to bolster our power. The chemicals released in the body during copulation heighten our talents and enable us to absorb more of the power of the ley lines without burning out. I'll need someone to partner with me several times during every voyage." She paused, and he watched, fascinated, as she wet her lips with her tongue. "You and your partner would be acceptable, but if you'd rather not participate, perhaps you could suggest a member of your crew. I'd need to approve your choice, of course."
Bryce stared, shock radiating through him. Had she just suggested a threesome with him and Tyler? The thought had electric charges of heat racing through his veins. He leaned toward the little witch. "You want Tyler and me to fuck you? At the same time?"
A ghost of a smile hovered on those delicious lips. "To be honest, I'd prefer to phrase it a little less bluntly, but yes. That's the general idea. I've never had multiple partners before, and the idea is intriguing."
"Well." Bryce felt like a newbie at the flight academy, propositioning his first female. "I'm sure we'll both do our best to help you achieve your goal."
She smiled wickedly. "Perhaps you'd care to demonstrate?"

"Jason?"
The lightest touch and I nearly jumped out of my skin. I turned my head and looked up at the man standing beside me, an expression of genuine concern on his youthful face. I gave him a weak smile; it was all I could do.
"Dude, you okay?"
I wiped my hands down my face and sighed. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. Just tired, I guess."
"The other band is finishing. You sure you're up for this?"
I glanced at him from between the fingers spread across my face. "Not like I have much choice." He shrugged and smiled sympathetically. "How much longer?"
"They're on their last song now. Then we'll have a fifteen minute break before we have to go on. You look like shit. Want a drink or something?"
I stood and stretched. "Sure. What's out there?"
He grinned. "Whatever you want. Terri said drinks are on her tonight."
I cocked an eyebrow at him. "Pritchard isn't here, is he?"
"How'd ya guess?"
"All right, gimme a minute and I'll be out there," I said. As he turned and started out the door, I called to him. "Oh, and Mike, tell Terri I want vodka."
Mike grinned and left.
I turned back to the emptiness of the meager dressing room, caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror, and grimaced. "Fuck. Make that a gallon of vodka."
Mike was right; I looked horrible. I didn't sound much better either. I grabbed my hairbrush and worked out the tangles I had managed to incur during our last set. I loved being the main act, but damn, I just wanted to go home tonight.
Go home to what, Jase? An empty bed? To stare up at the ceiling again?
I threw the hairbrush at the mirror. It bounced onto the countertop before landing on the hard tile floor. I didn't want to think about it anymore, not tonight. But I had to. It had become the only thing left in my life that got me so fucking pissed that I could perform like my fans expected. I looked in the mirror again and felt the heat begin to build up. I still had to control it, even when I didn't want to. Mike stuck his head back in the door. From the grin on his face, I figured I finally looked the part.
"Ready?"
I nodded. "Let's do this. Last set of the night."
I followed him out into the hallway. Jesse twirled a drumstick while Vic hummed one of his solos with his eyes closed. Marcus stood a little further down the hall, seemingly content to corner one of the prettier groupies, one hand flat against the wall by her head and the other stroking her cheek. As the rest of us walked by, Jesse whacked him on the head with his drumstick.
"God damn it," Marcus grumbled. "I'm fucking coming already." He turned back to the woman and gave her a quick kiss before falling in beside me.
The lights in the club had been turned down and the fog machine was cranked up. It was so smoky I could barely see the crowd at all. By the time we were all in place, it had dissipated as if on cue. With the first chord from Vic's guitar the crowd went wild. I stepped out of the smoke and up to the edge of the stage. It was one of our newer songs, yet there were people in the crowd singing my lyrics back to me. Fuck, that was such a rush.
I never brought out the "big guns," as Mike called it, until our fourth song. "Thy Savior" was a crowd favorite and our fans knew every single word. As I sang and growled and gripped the mic with my left hand, I lifted my right, palm up. With the music pounding in my eardrums, going soul-deep, it didn't take much.
Blue flames flared across my skin, sparking six inches above my palm. The crowd roared, fists pumping into the air. I blew on the flame during the solo and it flickered outward. With a snap of my fingers, it snuffed out and everyone cheered and whistled over the finale.
Times like that, I enjoyed my weird ability.

EXCERPT:

She cleared her throat, suddenly nervous. Bryce looked up and caught her glance, holding her in place with a look while he slowly circled the table and took her hand in his. He drew her hard up against him and she could feel the barely restrained power in his grip. He framed her face with his hands, tilting her head back. His eyes were liquid pools of lust, mesmerizing her. A rush of heat raced through her, pooling in her belly, and she swallowed, hard. For the first time in her life, she felt herself losing control. She'd felt lust before, used it to boost her abilities, but never this raw urgency, this craving that had every nerve in her body on edge.

He was so big, so hard, so… male.

And she wanted him with every fiber of her being.

Bryce lowered his head and his lips brushed across hers in a feather light caress that sent erotic flames licking across the surface of her skin. His tongue came out to tease, tasting and tempting until she opened her mouth with a small sigh, surrendering to the inevitable.

He engulfed her lips, and his hands brushed the material of her top off her shoulders, baring her chest to his warm, questing hands while his tongue invaded her mouth. He cupped her breasts in hands that seemed to know exactly what she wanted, what she needed. She moaned and leaned into his hard body as he tweaked one tender nipple between thumb and forefinger, causing a liquid heat to dampen her pussy.

His lips left her mouth, and he nibbled his way down her cheek to her throat, burying his face in the tender hollow while he grazed his teeth across her rapidly beating pulse.

She gasped as a second set of hands circled her from behind. Tyler! She'd been so intent on Bryce that she'd totally forgotten they weren't alone in the room. Trapped between the two hard male bodies, she felt small and very feminine. She arched her back, rubbing her bare breasts against Bryce while Tyler fumbled with the fastenings on her leggings, his breath hot on the back of her neck.

"Looks like we got ourselves a Stargazer sandwich," he drawled as he managed to undo the last of the laces holding the leggings up.

"Mmmmm. And it's quite tasty." Bryce nipped playfully at her breast. "Pity we don't have any sauce to spice it up."

"Oh, I'm thinking it's going to be spicy enough with a little help from us." Tyler hooked his thumbs in the waist of the leggings and skimmed them down over her hips. "I'm betting she tastes as good as she smells."

Bryce swirled his tongue around one taut nipple, and Jazlyn sucked in a deep breath as scalding tongues of lust ran down her spine. He sucked the tender tip into his mouth and feasted on it, now suckling, now scoring the tender bud with his teeth. He looked up at her, his eyes shining darkly. God, she could drown in those gorgeous eyes. She brought her hands up between them, palms flat on his rock-hard chest.

And all the while Tyler's hands roamed across her body. Caressing. Stroking. Exploring. She shouldn't be enjoying it this much, the feel of four hands caressing her, two mouths licking, sucking, nibbling on her heated flesh.

Twenty-odd years of wrangling, and it all came down to the same question -- who would get to marry her daughter?
Sighing, Melgara sat back and rubbed at her temples. Below, at the foot of the dais, the lords Hausther and Aurorea glared up at her, while their sons glared only at each other.
"Allow the challenge, your Highness!" Darmon Hausther demanded, his black eyes blazing. He was lean, hawk-faced, with a high, arrogant forehead and one striking streak of silver in his jet-black hair. Behind him, his son Darrek was coiled like a cat, seeming ready to spring into battle the instant Melgara so much as nodded.
Typical.
The northern Hausther clan was eternally belligerent, the first, always, to leap to arms, and the last to accept an accord. Well, Darmon Hausther would accept one today, by the Winds. Him and that darkly handsome offspring of his -- whether they liked it or not.
On the other side, Thrand Aurorea stood with arms crossed over his huge barrel chest, his son Rand towering beside him like a mountain. Thick, orange-red hair cascaded over the youth's broad shoulders -- the very sign and mark of the Aurorean clan. Where Darrek was lean and fast, Rand was built like a young bull; stolid, massive, and enduring. Looking at him, one would never suspect the lively intellect that lurked beneath that fiery head of hair.
A battle between the two young scions would be more than deadly; it could well be disastrous.
The four clans of her realm were held together by only two things -- the balance of power between them, and the queen's law. Her law. Let these two hotbloods at each other's throats, and within weeks the entire realm would be wracked by war. Gerdain in the west would side with Hausther in the north, and the southlands would ally inevitably with Thrand.
At times she felt it was like trying to control the Winds themselves. And yet, if she didn't, they would rip the very fabric of their world to shreds. The constant sparring between the two clans had been bad enough, as they'd each tried to gain an advantage in their bid for her daughter's hand. She didn't dare allow it to come to open warfare.
Knowing this day would inevitably come, Melgara Southerlin had watched, and waited, and planned. "No." Her tone was final.
Even Thrand looked surprised. "But, your Highness…"
"I said no, Thrand."
"Then choose, your Highness!" Darmon snapped. "Choose a consort for that daughter who is so precious no one may even see her!"
Melgara let just the tiniest trickle of smoke escape her nostrils and Darmon Hausther stepped back quickly, knowing he had gone too far.
"Or let her choose." The words were spoken softly, and Melgara looked up. Yes, young Rand. She was not surprised, though Darrek's head jerked in shock as if such an idea was almost unthinkable.
That one, she chuckled sourly, has a lot to learn.
"She shall." Immediately, at her words, much of the tension seemed to ease from the room. Melgara held up a hand. "Be warned however. The one she does not choose shall be banished forever from the four corners of my realm." Rand's blue eyes went wide at this pronouncement, while Darrek's grew darker, till they glinted like obsidian amid the sharp planes and angles of his face. Melgara noted their reactions from the corner of her eye even as she kept her attention on their fathers. "Do you want the throne so badly now, my lords?"
"Rand, no." Thrand stepped forward. "I cannot allow this."
Rand looked down at his father with a gentleness Melgara observed closely. "If you command, Lord, I will of course obey. But it would grieve me greatly to not be given my chance. And I think," he added, almost offhandedly, "that the lady deserves more of a choice than Darrek."
At that, Thrand gave an approving bark of laughter, while both Darmon and Darrek tensed in fury. Then Thrand pulled Rand close into a hug that cracked the younger man's spine.
What passed between Darrek and his father was silent, no more than an exchange of glances. When Darmon nodded, Darrek drew himself up and met Melgara's gaze haughtily. "Bring her forth then, and let her choose."
Insolent whelp! Melgara stared at him, raising one regal eyebrow, until finally Darrek flushed and dropped his gaze.
Yet it had been the fire and ferocity of the Hausther clan which had saved them all in the Zendarian wars. And someday they might well need that ferocity again. Melgara kept her tone mild as she replied, "She's not here."
"What?" Both the older lords started forward in consternation.
Melgara glared at them. "Darmon Hausther. Thrand Aurorea. For over twenty years the two of you have been at each other's throats. Should I have let my daughter grow up surrounded by your petty brawling? Should I have let her become jaded and cynical from being used as a pawn in your power games? Will you dare tell me that you would not have done so?"
Abashed, the two older men stepped back, Thrand's shaggy head drooping. She eyed them coldly. "One way or another, my lords, your feud ends here."
Dismissing them from her mind, she turned to their sons. "You are both resolved?" The youths nodded. "So be it."
She clapped her hands and immediately an enormous wind sprang up, howling through the confines of the long, vaulted hall. It wrapped itself around the two young men and threw open the massive doors at the end of the hall with a bang. Outside, the world seemed to tumble away from the high perch of Wind Castle, spreading out far below into a tapestry of green, gold and blue. In the distance, the peaks of lesser mountains glinted in the sunlight.
Under the wind's rough hand, Rand's hair tangled into thick, fiery curls, while Darrek's streamed back, long and smooth and black as pitch. They both leaned into the wind like hounds eager to the scent.
Melgara raised her voice over the wind's keening. "It will carry you to the land where Elara has been hidden all these years -- a land that, I warn you, will seem very strange to you. You are forbidden to offer each other any violence," she continued. Both of them glowered rebelliously, and she eyed them sternly. "Do not doubt that I will know. And if you do…" She left the threat hanging. "You may, however, help each other if you choose."
From the rolling of their eyes, it was clear the two lordlings found that possibility unlikely. Privately, Melgara sighed. "You shall each have an equal chance to woo and win my daughter. But first --" She smiled evilly, allowing herself to enjoy this moment. How she had waited and planned for this day! "First, you will have to find her."
She clapped her hands again, and the wind redoubled, whipping through the vast audience hall with a hungry ferocity. Under its buffeting, the two young lords seemed to shred, their outlines blurring, stretching, spreading until, with a last muscular shudder, two dragons, one deep-chested and red as flame, the other lean, black, and wickedly taloned, unfurled their wings and sprang from the castle into the rushing wind.
Oh, my daughter, Melgara prayed as they rose, flitting through the cool, clean air, all my hopes rest on you. May you find joy enough now to make up for all your years of exile.
The hall seemed preternaturally quiet after the fury of the wind. Below her, Darmon Hausther shifted, already impatient. "What now, your Highness?"
"Now?" She settled back, enjoying his discomfiture, and smiled coldly. "Now, my Lord Hausther, we wait."

With a unique chameleon-like ability, Trinity Staten's problems are more than skin deep. She has daddy issues. Her biological father, Jessia, would like nothing more than to see her dead, and her two lovers -- the fathers of her unborn child -- are letting their insecurities put a rift in their Triune threesome. All Trinity wants is to forget she's not human, keep the three of them safe, and get some nookie every now and then. Is that too much to ask?
When her lover Newton Price, telepath and all around hunka-hunka, disappears, Trinity is certain he's walked out on her. To make matters worse, Merlin Davitch, her other lover and best friend -- a tantalizing combination of geek and good looks -- is acting secretive and withdrawn. The power of the Triune should bring them all together, but Trinity has never felt more alone.
Circumstances are not what they seem. And when Trinity is forced into a showdown with Jessia it could bring a permanent end to all her issues.

Over the past two months, Trinity Staten had become more than paranoid, but not without good reason. Demons were trying to kill her. Okay, so they weren't really demons. Not of the Heaven and Hell type, anyhow. Apparently evolution has a sense of humor, or something along those lines.
Finding out recently her own genetics fell off a branch of the evolutionary family tree that wasn't quite human had done nothing to change Trinity's mind that most of the others, as Newton called them, were better off dead and six feet under.
Of course, it did explain a lot. She was stronger than most people, faster, a quicker healer. And there was the small fact that her skin turned funny colors when she was stressed, got excited, angry, lustful… actually it was easier to list the things that didn't make her shift.
For this one moment in time, she didn't feel stressed, but she felt very horny, which was a stressor all its own. Though she was nearly ninety-nine percent sure it had nothing to do with the incubus ju-ju pheromones secreting through her sweat glands, that one percent doubt made her feel like a freak.
Either way, it had been too long. Sixty days too long, and today was D-day, or O-day, if things worked out in Trinity's favor. She strolled out of the bathroom, clad in nothing but a green towel and her birthday suit (which happened to be taking on the coloring of the walls and furniture). The television blared with an episode of Tough Love, a program where seven desperate women took advice from a male matchmaker named Steve on how to meet the love of their lives.
Insanely, it was a program both Merlin Davitch and Newton Price could agree on. Which, in the grand scheme of things, wasn't a bad thing, considering there was little Merl and Newt did agree on. Especially where Trinity was concerned.
Trinity rolled her eyes. If they wanted a desperate woman, here she stood. And the loves of her life were sitting like couch potatoes watching a reality show instead of noticing.
Steeling her will, she took a deep cleansing breath and pinched the inside of her wrist. The small pain cleared her head, but her skin continued to shimmer from one pattern and color to the next.
So much for behavior therapy. All the techniques her psychiatrist had given her to use were pretty much hit and miss in the "actually working" department. Nonetheless, she was determined to have some hot sweaty monkey love tonight if it killed her. Or she could kill them… whichever came first.
Trinity walked to the side of the couch and stared at her lovers. Though lately she could scarcely call them that. She smiled at Merlin, then stifled a chuckle. He was wearing a black T-shirt with the slogan "Welcome to the Dork Side." A shirt that fit him so well, in more ways than just the dork part. A month ago, the T-shirt would have fit loosely across the chest and shoulders, but he'd been working out since the demon attacks had started. Which meant his lean, wiry muscles were getting slightly more bulky.
In other words -- more hot. Trinity felt the scorch all the way to her toes. His brown hair, loose and slightly curly, framed his green eyes spectacularly, and the thickening of his jaw line from the extra weight added to the va-va-voom factor.
Newton had always been "filled out" in the muscle department. Dark, thick black hair, and perfectly sensuous amber eyes, Newt fit the bill for anyone's idea of a wet dream. Trinity got the distinct impression he'd been a soldier of some kind in a past life. Even if he didn't like guns, he could definitely handle his own in a fight. He'd chopped a demon's head off to save her life with a move that would have made Conan the Barbarian jealous.
She watched Newton nod his agreement when Steve from Tough Love told one of the women to "suck it up and get over herself." Trinity narrowed her eyes. Was Newt subliminally trying to send her a message? She rolled her eyes again.
"Whatever," she mumbled as she stepped around Merl's legs and sidled herself between the two men. She hadn't needed to say it out loud; Newton could read her mind, literally. His telepathic powers included being able to not only read minds, but also project his own thoughts into the heads of the people around him. It had been very disconcerting the first time he'd done it to Trinity.
Since they'd all moved to the new super-secret hide out (a dilapidated ranch house outside the city), Trinity had made Newt promise to stay out of her thoughts. She suspected he didn't always follow the rules.
She missed both their quirky and unique senses of humor, but their lives had drastically changed. Trinity had given up her job as a file clerk, Merl resigned his position as chair for the science department at the university and given up a hella lump sum of grant money, and Newton, perhaps he'd given up the most -- life without the complication of Trinity Staten.
Today, she hoped to gain something back, for all of them.
"Soo…" she said to anyone who would listen. "You guys want to fool around?"
"Huh?" Merl grunted. Newton remained silent.
"Come on. It's been two months, and according to Dr. Gray, I should be fine." She amended her statement. "The baby will be fine."
Besides, if she didn't get some good old-fashioned passion and soon, she was fairly certain she would die. Okay, maybe death was over-stretching it a bit, but she hadn't even been allowed to masturbate. According to the experts -- aka Dr. Myron Gray of Caledon -- the first two months of a Triune pregnancy could be delicate. It seemed the little bundle of cells needed ample time to properly implant into the womb before anything down there could be safely jarred.
Trinity desperately needed to be jarred. "Look, fellas. I'm not a china shop, but even if I were, I really think it's time to let in the bulls."
"I don't know, Trini. You sure it's a good idea?" Merl asked. She glanced at the swelling in his jeans. He might have been over-thinking the situation, but she knew where his body stood on the issue.
She stared at Newt, who hadn't taken his eyes off the television. "What about you?" Please. Trinity allowed her unarticulated emotions to bubble to the surface.
Finally, he turned his gaze upon her. Raw, naked passion scored his expression. She watched his Adam's apple bob with a hard swallow.
His amber eyes, full of lust, focused in tight on Trinity. It was her turn to swallow.

Getting enough cream is a problem for this cat...
Jag Arizon had a plan to correct that. A jaguar from the Kind species, big cats infected with vampyre blood, he walks in both worlds. Aside from blood, he’s addicted to cream and only one person can cure him. In convincing her to donate to his cause, Jag gets much more than he bargained for.
Barbara Dorsey, the uptight co-owner of the local coffee shop has all the cream this cat needs. But she’s only giving it away in dreams to the one man who not only opens the door to her every desire -- he can change her world forever.

"No way! I'm not going to stop again, dude. Damn, show some control already." Leron looked exasperated. "Jag, do you know what we are, man? You're a jaguar and a vampyre. You're a vampyre cat. The boogey man runs from us! We don't drink fucking lattes."
"I do, with lots of cream." Jag really wanted to go back to Coffee Swirl. He needed to see her once more today. His cock bounced around in his pants like a Mexican jumping bean. His inner cat clawed at him. They both wanted to smell her again. "Leron, I need to see her one more time. Come on, it won't take but a minute."
"No. You've had two double-shot lattes already. You're wired as hell. No more. We need to get back to the compound."
"Please, man, one more," Jag begged.
"Why don't you ask her out already? Shit, at the rate you're going, you could've bought a whole coffee plantation."
"I could die of thirst over here, dude. You have to take me." Jag saw him smile. He had him now. Leron, his best friend, knew he had a crush on Barbara.
"One more, that's it. You got it?" Leron shook his head at him and turned the car around -- back to the coffee shop. "You know she's going to chew your ass out, right?"
"She likes me. That's why she does that." Jag had a big shit-eating grin on his face. He could already taste the cream.
"She's human, dude. If she ever goes out with you, how are you going to tell her what you are? And have you thought about what the Elders will say about it? You're getting yourself in too deep, man."
Jag Arizon belonged to the Reign, the Sovereign Kind, warriors appointed by the Council of Elders to protect his people and humans alike from the unruly night creatures that trolled the streets like vermin.
Jag didn't give a flying fuck what the Elder had to say. He was good at what he was -- a killing machine. They wouldn't be too quick in wanting to get rid of him.
Barbara would give him hell for the second time today, but he was hooked -- the Swirl had the best cream in town. And she always smelled so damned sweet. His cat purred in anticipation.

Blurb:
Thomas Crawford is Lonely River's beta, and it's high time he settled down. He's had his eye on Charlotte Daniel, the owner of the Full Moon Saloon -- and independent cuss of a woman -- for months, but she either hasn't noticed his gentle courting... or she's ignoring him. But when some local wolves lodge a complaint about her questionable business practices it's Thomas's job to investigate, even if it means the woman he wants will hate him forever.
Lottie has noticed Thomas's courting, all right, but it's a little too polite for her tastes. She wants a man with fire and sensuality, not daisies and poetry. Then he kisses her. Once she gets a glimpse of the passion burning in him, Lottie decides a slow, careful seduction isn't a bad idea at all. But she'll do it her way.

"Here we go." Lottie set the silver tea service on the table with a clink and beamed at her guests. "Oh, I forgot to ask if you'd prefer coffee, Jack."
The alpha smiled and rubbed a hand through his tousled hair. "Coffee would be great, Lottie."
Ginny eyed the tray with a delicately arched brow. "Booze is perfectly appropriate to serve after dinner too, you know."
Lottie tried not to snort as she straightened and headed back for the kitchen. "Coffee and whiskey, coming up."
She rattled the percolator on the stove, deliberately making more noise than necessary. The house was too quiet, had been since Hazel had moved out, and Lottie found herself trying to fill the silence. She called out into the parlor, "Have either of you seen Hazel and Oliver yet?"
The sound of Jack's snort drifted into the kitchen. "I stopped by for about five minutes. Longest five minutes of my life."
Ginny just laughed. "Turns out, my fiancé only likes overt displays of affection when they involve his hands and my ass."
Lottie drifted back to the open doorway as the coffee began to brew. "She's young and in love."
"Mm-hmm. Oliver's got the love part down, but he's no spring chicken." Ginny grinned. "If Hazel's not careful, she's going to kill him."
"He seems in fine shape to me." Lottie wove her hands together and watched as Ginny reached for Jack's hand and twined their fingers together. She didn't even seem to be aware she'd done it. "I'll wait a week or so longer before I go calling, though. Just to be on the safe side."
Her friend flashed her a pointed look. "And what about you? I noticed Thomas has been stopping by a lot lately, and he asks me about you all the time."
"Ginny." Jack sounded exasperated. "I told you to keep your nose out of it."
She wrinkled her nose at him. "I just want to know when she's going to put the poor man out of his misery, that's all. It isn't right."
Lottie's back stiffened, and her easy smile almost faltered. She knew from experience that neither of them would notice her small slip of control. "Thomas Crawford is a very nice man," she said carefully.
"Nice." Ginny blew out a breath. "Most people consider that a plus, Lottie."
"It is, I'm sure."
"So how come, when you say it, you make it sound like he has the plague?"
Lottie stifled a disgusted noise and turned back to the kitchen. The image of Thomas's face, smiling and thoughtful, rose in her mind. She pushed it away as she checked the coffee. Thomas might have been carefully, persistently courting her, but he had yet to indicate anything beyond a polite interest. And she'd rather be alone than married to a man only politely interested in her.
Ginny had followed her and was standing in the doorway, so Lottie lied. "I'm not looking to marry right now, that's all." She'd never planned on coming to Greenbriar to open a business, much less a brothel, but there'd been a need and it had seemed smart to fill it… and make a bundle of money in the process. So what if that had left her no time to fulfill her original goal -- to find someone to love?
Ginny wore a dark look on her face. "You're lying. You'd be happier than a frog in a puddle, and you know it."
Lottie accidentally brushed her hand against the hot metal of the percolator and drew it back with a hiss. She watched as the reddened patch of skin slowly disappeared. "Doesn't mean I'm going to marry the first man to ask me. Which Thomas hasn't done, by the way."
"He's far from the first man to ask," Ginny countered. "And he'd probably get around to asking if you seemed the slightest bit inclined to accept."
"Virginia." She paused and took a deep breath. "I don't want to talk about this anymore."
"You're lonely."
"I'm --" Lottie's voice broke, and she cleared her throat. "I'm fine, Ginny, but thank you for your concern." She pulled another china pot from a cabinet and filled it with the fragrant, steaming coffee. "You know where the whiskey decanter is. Help yourself, and let's visit and talk about something else."
The scuff of boots across the floor was the only warning before Jack appeared at Ginny's shoulder. "I wasn't trying to listen, Lottie, but you know I could hear everything. Can I just say one thing? And then we'll both keep out of it."
As if he could make that promise for stubborn-ass Ginny Howard. She kept her voice steady as she replied. "Of course, Jack. You're always welcome to be frank with me, you know that."
Jack smiled. "Thomas has to act nice and restrained, because the humans have to feel safe dealing with him. That's his job as my second. But there's a lot more to him than most people see, and he's got it bad for you. You don't have to give him a chance, but at least let him know he doesn't have one."
His words kindled a thread of hope in Lottie. She and Thomas got on well enough, and she'd enjoyed the scant amount of time she'd spent alone with him. The only thing that had been missing between them was the fire. The passion. "I'll bear that in mind, Jack."
"Good." Jack's hand curled around the back of Ginny's shoulder in a possessive gesture. "And we're going to stay out of it, aren't we, sweetheart?"
Ginny's mouth twisted into a dissatisfied pout, but she nodded. "You're right, Lottie. Let's talk about something else."
Lottie used a quilted potholder to lift the coffee pot. "Thank you, Ginny. I'm dying to know if you've made any of your own wedding arrangements yet."
The taller woman blushed, and Lottie knew Ginny had been adequately distracted from meddling in affairs between herself and Thomas. She stifled a sigh of relief and followed the couple back into the parlor. The less she had to think about what she'd do or say when Thomas did get around to proposing, the better.

Mannhof. The ultimate in precision German engineering. Individually hand-crafted motorcycles, each custom created for one woman, and one woman only. For the right woman. Even if she doesn’t know it. Because the motorcycle of her dreams -- is also the man of her dreams.

Why would a normally sane woman pay a million dollars for a motorcycle? Hard-driving CEO Claire Wilcox has found the bike of her dreams -- a 1957 Mannhof four-cylinder touring motorcycle. It’ll take all of Will’s sensual skills to crack the hard shell she’s built around herself to free the woman within.

Jake’s mission is to save Lauren King from herself -- and a vicious rock star and his groupie compound called The Pit. But learning to love may cost them both their lives.

Motorcycle cop Charley Thomas keeps men at arm’s length. Until her Mannhof, Nick, helps her regain her sensual side...

But can happiness be re-engineered into their futures?

After rehab, Lauren King went right back into The Pit.
Kid Dagger's ranch and recording compound had a huge main house, three guest cottages, a recording studio, tennis courts, a state-of-the-art gym, and an Olympic-sized swimming pool. But everyone who worked there called it The Pit. The nickname fit Dagger's personality, which on a good day bordered on psychotic. Bad days didn't bear thinking about.
Still, Lauren had called the place home for over ten years. Her job was here. Frankly, she had nowhere else to go.
As soon as she dropped her suitcase in her room, she went out to her only safe place -- the small garage behind the larger one where Dagger kept his collectible cars.
She flicked on the light and looked at the closest thing she had for a friend -- the antique German motorcycle. The Mannhof. "Hi, Jake."
The bike never answered, of course. Still, she felt a link to it. The Mannhof resisted all of Dagger's attempts to control it, something she'd never managed.
She walked to the bike and ran a hand over the leather seat. "What's a nice machine like you doing in a place like this?"
"You decided to come back."
Dagger's voice. She turned and found him standing the doorway. "Did I have any choice?"
"We all have choices." He dangled a baggie with a quarter of an inch of white powder in it. "Want some?"
She stared at him. Only Dagger would offer cocaine to someone just back from rehab. "I gave up poison for Lent."
Anger flashed in his small, brown eyes for a minute, and then he gave her one of his phony smiles. "Okay, then, how about a quick fuck?"
"Like I said. I gave up poison for Lent."
"Your loss." He crossed his arms over his bare chest and leaned against the doorframe. Without the elaborate stage make-up and the costume that gave him a huge crotch bulge, Dagger, whose real name was Craig, looked like everyone's little brother's creepy friend. The one who kept trying to set puppies' tails on fire. Somehow, millions of girls found him sexy. Lauren had once, but then she'd gotten to know him. She'd also seen him flipped out on various substances. Someday, he'd hurt someone -- badly.
He stared at her for a minute, as if expecting her to change her mind and jump his bones. Finally, he pushed away from the wall. "Get back to work. Media bookings went to hell while you were gone."
She sighed. "In a few minutes."
"You going to stay out here with that hunk of junk?"
"It's one of the finest motorcycles ever built. You paid half-a-mil for it."
"It doesn't run."
True, the Mannhof had refused to start ever since the auction house had delivered it. No mechanic had ever managed to fix it, either. Hopelessly broken, just like herself. No wonder they'd become friends.
"Junk." Dagger waved a hand at the bike. "Someday, I'm going to melt it down into a paperweight."
"Have I told you lately that you suck?"
"Yeah, fuck you too." He turned and left the garage.
She looked down at the bike, her friend, Jake. "Don't worry. As long as I'm around, no one's going to turn you into a paperweight."
She walked to the door, switched off the light, and turned to go into the house.
Why do you put up with him?
Huh? "Who said that?"
She flipped the switch again and looked around. The room was empty except for herself and the bike. Come to think of it, the words had formed in her brain rather than coming in through her ears.
I'm glad you're home, Schatzie. I missed you.
Her eyes widened as she stared at the Mannhof. "Did you say that?"
The air shifted around the bike, seeming to turn liquid. Currents shimmered around the tires, the gas tank, the handlebars. She rubbed her eyes, but the image didn't get any clearer.
Holy shit. Was this some kind of withdrawal-induced hallucination? She hadn't even done that in rehab. Rough nights, yes. Air you could swim through, no.
She backed up until her rump hit the wall and stood there on weakening knees. In the middle of the room, a light radiated from the Mannhof, making the bike's image even harder to see. She squinted, staring into the waves of light and air around Jake. Something was happening in there. Some kind of changes taking place. The tires seemed to melt and change color from rubber to a pale tone that looked for all the world like human flesh.
Oh, no. Too weird. Too fucking weird. Some kind of Invasion of the Body Snatchers in reverse. After all she'd gone through, her mind had snapped. The counselors should have warned her.
Now useless, her legs gave way, and she slid down the wall until she sat on her butt, hugging herself.
The changes in the middle of the room continued. The form shrunk, curling into a ball of what looked like human flesh. A person. A man, lying on the floor in a fetal position without a stitch of clothing on his body. The glow disappeared, and the air went clear again, leaving only the man -- powerful legs pulled up against his body with the ankles crossed. An adult-sized human baby.
A voice whimpered in fear. Her own voice. Her heart hammered in her chest, and her throat constricted. If she could get any strength in her legs, she could get up and run like hell. Still, as spooky as the whole experience was, it was pretty cool in a Hollywood, special effects way.
The person moved finally, sitting up. Buck naked, the man had pale skin and platinum hair that hung around his face to the jaw line. His eyes opened, revealing irises so crystal blue they almost seemed transparent. He smiled, his face taking on an innocent look of delight, like a baby who'd just learned to smile. He took a deep breath, or rather, the air around him went into his chest in a whoosh. Then, he opened his mouth and a sound came out -- the deep roar of a motorcycle engine revving.
The sound plastered her against the wall, stealing her own breath. She sat there paralyzed for a moment, staring at him. He made no move toward her but gave her the most beautiful smile she'd ever seen on a man's face.
"Holy shit," she whispered. "Who are you?"

He mistook me for a spirit when he first laid eyes on me.
How could he not? I was in the middle of my bath, naked, with my long hair down, and plumes of the hot spring's mist swathing me like a deity's gossamer robe. My pale skin, which is one of my best attributes, glistened from the droplets of water, and was tempered with the soft glow from the moonlight. Or perhaps it was my eyes that made him think I was a mischievous spirit who'd come to seduce him.
As the last of my kin, I possess the rare kitsune-bi, fox-fire eyes. My irises change color according to my mood; red when I'm angered, blue when I'm sad, fathomless black when I'm in a killing rage, and silver when I'm aroused.
And tonight, I'm aroused.
I've been told when my eyes turn silver I exude a raw charm that makes me look like a yōkai, a spirit. But only a few have vouched for this, as most of my lovers were busy with their cocks when I was in this state.
"Are you real?" the stranger asked. His voice sounded cultured and profound. His speech proved him a highborn, with a hint of the Autumner accent.
I smiled coquettishly, turning forward to show him my other best attributes. "Real enough, if you would like to come closer," I teased.
The stranger was a striking man in his early thirties, garbed in a simple cotton kimono and straw sandals. His unbound hair spilled behind his shoulders like curtains of black silk. He had his traveling bundle slung behind his back, and a battered katana sheathed in his sash. I gauged he was a warrior, or a scholar who disguised himself as a warrior. Although, in my opinion, he was too refined for a warrior from the way he carried himself.
He stared at my full breasts; my nipples stood erect like ripe berries ready to be plucked. Then his gaze moved down to my mons, which was without body hair. As bearer of the kitsune-bi, I inherited distinct traits from my ancestors, and one of them was the absence of hair on my sex. Men found this fascinating.
The stranger also found my hairless sex fascinating at first, but then his expression turned guarded. He frowned, eyeing me with suspicion. Judging from the look in his eyes, he dismissed me as non-human. "What are you doing here?"
"Why, sire," I splashed water on my bare body, inviting him to join me in the water, "I'm just a wanton girl who came to seduce and debauch you."
He narrowed his eyes, instantly grabbing the hilt of his katana.
I was alarmed. "Don't even try, unless you know how to use it." He stood a good distance from me, and my pile of clothes and weapons were within my reach. I could outrun and kill him should he decide to use his sword on me.
He noticed my clothes, and the long black nagatō that lay atop. He relaxed. Everybody knew spirits never lounged around with weapons. He laughed. "For a second, I thought you were a spirit."
"If I were a spirit, your sword would be useless to wield against me. Don't you know that?"
He shrugged. "You never know. I've never met one." He pulled his katana from his sash and placed it carefully on the ground, along with his traveling bundle. He started to disrobe.
"What are you doing?"
"You invited me to join you. Don't you remember?"
"That was before you were thinking of killing me. I rescind my invitation. Put your clothes back on."
He smiled. "Too bad. I'm in dire need of a bath."
I started to open my mouth to protest, but stopped when he pulled off his loincloth. Damnation! A fluttery feeling singed my loins at the sight of his maleness. He was fully aroused, and his cock was as refined as the rest of him. Come to think about it, I'd never seen such a beautiful cock. It was impossibly thick and long, and curved upward like the Emperor's precious ivory. I changed my mind about sending him away. "Is that real?"
"Real enough, if you'd like to come closer." His smile widened, dimples adorning each cheek.
"You love to jest, I see."
"I also love pillowing." He dove into the pond. The water splashed everywhere. Before I knew it, he'd grabbed my waist and pulled me into his welcoming arms. He ran his hands over my body, my hair, the juncture of my thighs, the back of my knees, touching everything as if he wanted to make sure I wasn't a spirit. "You're real enough. And too beautiful to be real…" he murmured, his voice dark and husky.
I wasn't paying attention to what he said. My eyes were transfixed on his cock. It swayed as he was busy feeling me. I touched it experimentally and it stirred with anticipation. Ah, he liked me…
"What's your name, pretty one?"
"Uhm?" I stroked his cock. It became incredibly hard in my palm. A soft groan of pleasure came from him. "I'm nobody, thus my name is unimportant. What's yours?"
"Mine is also unimportant." He studied my face, looking enthralled by what he saw. Perhaps he'd never seen a woman with changeling eyes before. "I shall call you Silver Eyes since yours are very unusual."
"And I shall call you Gorgeous Cock since yours is grandly befitting for a man," I blurted out without thinking.

Monique fidgeted on a barstool the following evening as she waited for her unwanted guest. The nightly crowd wouldn't descend on Station X for another hour or so. Hopefully, she could convince Anthony to select another destination before they were overrun by pleasure seekers. She had nothing against the popular bar. In fact her father had commissioned the Bronsteins to open a similar club in the Twilight Jewel. Even so, the rowdy atmosphere was counterproductive to her agenda.
Anthony Zoltan. His name echoed through her mind. She wasn't sure what to expect. Would he stride into Station X looking like an escapee from Excalibur or would he be intimidated by the overtly sexual atmosphere? Intimidated? She shook her head. He was a male vampire. Few were intimidated by anything.
She sensed him before she saw him. A slow, intoxicating pull turned her head toward the main entrance on the far side of the room. A tall, muscular human opened the door then quickly stepped aside. Monique noted the pleasing arrangement of his features and the impressive breadth of his shoulders a moment before Anthony moved into view.
There was no doubt the second man was Anthony. He emanated authority and danger with effortless ease. He wasn't extremely handsome. His tall companion was better looking. Still, she couldn't drag her gaze away from his captivating face.
Each of his features was average, wide brow, straight nose, full lips, and high cheekbones. The only exception was his deep blue eyes. One glance into those soulful depths and his appearance transformed into something far more striking than the individual components.
Dressed in charcoal-colored pants and a royal blue shirt, there was nothing about him that should account for his… magnetism. Even so, she felt drawn, fascinated, and aroused. Shaking away the sensations, she extended her hand. "Monique Vasco. I'll be your guide."
Anthony's fingers encompassed hers as he raised her hand to his lips. "I presume you know my name. You were expecting me."
His lips brushed her skin, and tingles crawled up her arm. She was an organic vampire, for God's sake. Why was he affecting her so powerfully? "How would you prefer to be addressed?"
The men exchanged wicked smiles. "Please, call me Anthony."
"Am I missing something?" She pulled her hand out of his light grasp.
"Zoltan men are most often addressed as sir," the other man said. "Or master." A faint accent colored his words, bringing to mind kilts and claymores.
Intrigued by the sensual purr in the human's tone, she turned toward him and assessed his features more closely. Oh yeah, he was by far the better looking of the two. And his casual clothing did nothing to hide the muscular contours of his body. His hair was lighter than Anthony's and it swept away from his face in distinct waves. Emerald green and filled with secrets, his gaze stared back at her steadily.
"And you are?" She summoned her professional detachment, refusing to let either of them rattle her composure.
"Jacob Cameron." He inclined his head respectfully, yet remained just out of reach.
"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Cameron."
"Jacob, please." His charming smile made her want to outline his lips with her fingertip or, better yet, her tongue. As if he could sense her interest, he moved closer and reached for her hand.
Anthony warned him off with a meaningful glare. "She's here for me."
His arrogance annoyed her. "Then what's Jacob here for?" Challenging a vampire was never wise, but Monique couldn't seem to stop herself.
"He's here for me too." Anthony leaned in and whispered the boast in her ear.
Fueled by the inference, her imagination took flight. She saw the two men naked and entwined in a passionate embrace. Anthony maneuvered Jacob relentlessly, controlling him with his hands and teeth. Slowly, savoring each hard-won inch, Anthony drove his cock into Jacob's ass. Jacob tossed his head and cried out, his features contorted in ecstasy. Anthony reached around Jacob's lean hip and grasped his shaft, pumping in tandem with the rocking of his hips.
A smile tugged at the corners of her mouth, and heat cascaded through her body. These next few days might be a lot more interesting than she'd anticipated.
"That's rather selfish, don't you think?" She was treading on dangerous ground, revealing an interest she wasn't ready to acknowledge. She wasn't even sure she liked Anthony. He was far too sure of himself. "You can't have both of us."
"Why not?" Anthony's hand brushed her waist as he moved away.
