Once upon a time...
He loved her.
Achingly so.
It was terrifying, this feeling.
Love turned him into someone he didn't know, made him act in ways that weren't his own, and then this... this gorgeous devastation did something worse than all the rest: It made him believe in happily ever after.
He stood at the window, his gaze taking in the seamless indigo sky. In the Fae realm there were no stars. No sun. No moon. There was day, and there was night, both achieved in a magical way they all accepted. There were no scientists here, no curious souls searching to understand why something was, or seek ways to improve it. This place was perfect -- nature's beauty and bounty, all without a single mistake in either root or petal. The Fae were connected to their world, an extension of everything around them.
There were doorways to other worlds, but the one fairies liked to visit most of all was the human world.
Humans were fascinating, he supposed. Those messy, boisterous, rude creatures always struggled against their natures and their places in the world. He knew now what that felt like -- his love for her had created within him a terrible unknowing. He no longer understood his place in this world.
He was changed.
Below, the party spilled onto the palace grounds, an even more decadent celebration than those of nights past.
Fairies loved a good party, almost as much as they loved a good wedding.
"Prince Selfish."
Her voice echoed with laughter as she entered his bedroom. She'd called him that the first time they'd met, only then she'd meant to insult him. Now, it was an endearment. He turned from his contemplation at the window and watched her close the heavy door, then cross the room. She wore a gossamer blue dress that swished around her knees and left her shoulders bare. She'd left her hair down, those silky strands falling to her waist as shiny as spun gold.
"I don't know what's happened to me," he said.
"I happened." She took his hand and lifted it to kiss his knuckles. She was always doing such things. Why did she feel so sure? It was as if she was born to love him and him alone.
He couldn't control himself.
But there were other things that were his to control.
He took hold of her glorious blonde locks and pulled until her head tilted back. He leaned down and whispered, "Do as I say."
"Yes, my darling."
His heart stuttered. Such beautiful, instant submission. It was just another of the gifts she gave him so easily. How could the person who always made him feel like he was walking on air also make him feel so grounded?
Keeping a tight grip on her hair, he kissed her deeply. With his free hand, he dipped into the front of her gown and caressed her breasts.
She moaned.
He took his time, both with the kiss and the tending of her nipples. He pinched each turgid peak between his fingers, rolling, twisting, teasing, until she quaked in his embrace.
He released her hair, and stepped back.
She stood there, her gaze on the floor, her hands folded demurely as she awaited his commands. His cock was so hard, it ached. He wanted to fuck her. And if he told her to go to the bed, lean down, and offer him her ass, she would.
He sucked in air through clenched teeth. "Take off your dress."
She rolled her shoulders and the dress swirled, sliding down her lithe body to pool like sapphires on the floor. She wore nothing underneath. Not even the usual lace scrap of underwear.
"Two days before the wedding," he said. "We're breaking tradition."

Like most men, Corvin had always had an idea of what would happen the moment he met the woman of his dreams. The usual romantic moment where their eyes met across a crowded room and, Corvin being male, the normal "getting to know you" crap was minimal, replaced instead by a bout of hot, sweaty sex en route back to his apartment. In all his thinking on the subject, which was rare since men as a whole and Corvin in particular didn't tend to think in happily ever after -- more happily for now, preferably ones involving blow jobs -- he certainly hadn't expected said moment to occur at the worst possible time for romance.
Namely, when he was in drag.
"Jesus Christ, these heels are fucking killing me." Hex stumbled into Corvin's back. "How do women wear these things?"
"Intelligence and a higher pain threshold than you pathetic men," Storm, the only girl in their trio, threw back. The comment earned her a sneer from Hex as he tried to negotiate climbing onto a barstool in a miniskirt and the heels he was complaining about.
One eye on the woman and one on the farce unfolding to his left, Corvin had to smother a smile as Hex approached the puzzle in his usual manner, bull in a china shop.
"Would you two give it up and get a fucking room sometime this century?" Corvin's voice was bored as he slid behind the opposite side of the table to Hex. Both of his friends turned toward him, horror and disgust on their faces.
"What, with him?"
"...her? You gotta be fucking kidding me. I'd rather screw a keres demon."
"You look like a fricking keres demon!"
"Better than sounding like a harpy all the time!"
Corvin shook his head as the two started to squabble again. They were perfect for each other; they just couldn't see it. One day he was going to lock them up together in a room for a weekend. They'd either kill each other or fuck each other's brains out. Either way, he'd get some peace.
A waiter approached their table, and Corvin let Hex order as he looked for his dream woman again. The club was crowded but they'd had no trouble getting a table. They never did. Known as the god pack, all three had divine blood but they weren't full demi-gods, just the offspring of a few.
Hex was the son of Hecate so he threw a mean spell when pushed or pissed off, which was often. Storm's mother was Tempestas, Goddess of Storms -- even deities struggled for originality when naming their offspring -- and she'd inherited her mother's temper. Last but not least, Corvin's mother was Minerva, Goddess of Poetry, Medicine, Crafts, Magic... blah, blah, blah.
Corvin wrinkled his nose and glanced past his friends again. There she was, over on the other side of the bar, collecting empty glasses. Corvin took a moment to admire her. Small and curvy, her dark hair was pulled back from a heart-shaped face and clipped up to reveal the slender curve of her neck. His gaze devoured her as she turned, and the sensual curve of her breasts was outlined for a moment in the club lights as she tried to juggle glasses.
Lust hit him like one of Cupid's arrows. Or rather would have if the God of Love hadn't said "fuck it" and gone AWOL last year after breaking up with his latest squeeze.
"Need a piss, back in a minute," Corvin announced as he slid off his stool. Still squabbling, Hex and Storm didn't notice his departure. Corvin put them from his mind as he negotiated the crowded club, heading toward his target like a tiger on the prowl.

Book Summary NYC detective Gracie Usher sets out to find a lost child and ends up in the arms of a demon whose bloodlust can only be satisfied by a sacrifice every five years -- or by a woman whose desire is as insatiable as his.
When Detective Usher stumbles into Wayland, New York, looking for a prominent business owner's young daughter, she finds instead a horrible beast who wants not only her blood, but her soul. Giving in to his desire would be much easier if she were a mere mortal, but Gracie's a different kind of human. Logic is her best friend and leading with her head, not her heart, is what she does best, at least until she meets a demon who decides he won't be complete until he makes her his... for eternity.

Gracie liked having Kevin as a fuckbuddy, and during their time together he'd improved considerably in how he used his God-given talents. She'd miss the sex and the time she'd invested in training him, which couldn't be recouped. However, it was obvious to her he belonged with Esther, whether he realized it or not. She'd never stand in the way of their true -- whatever it was they shared.
Any woman who'd put up with his sloppy technique for two years must love him desperately, and Kevin loved her in return. Gracie had known it from the moment they met at the bar and Kevin told her up front he was playing the field, trying to decide.
She often wondered if he'd chosen her because she and Esther were human antonyms -- her long blonde hair and dark blue eyes a distinct contrast to Esther's short curly do and brown ones. She wondered about everything, curiosity being her best friend for as long as she could remember. Kevin, to her knowledge, was only curious about one thing, and it didn't take a genius to figure that out.
"I know I told you we were on a break cuz I couldn't figure out what I wanted, but lots of chicks would, you know, get mad I want to go back with my ex. Specially after all the fuckin' we been doin'." Kevin's voice dropped an octave and his re-energized cock poked her leg. "After the wedding on Saturday, we can't be screwin' like monkeys no more. You wanna go another round, like a one-for-the-road type thing?"
Gracie's pussy twitched and her logic kicked in. How long before she might get laid again? It could be weeks or months. Better to do doubles even though second orgasms so soon after the first usually weren't as intense? Or better to savor the afterglow of the first climax and take her chances on the horny male population in the great state of New York?
She lay there, calculating, until Kevin wisely positioned himself on his back and his magnificent erection bounced into view. Oooh. Aaaah. She grasped its slickness and made her decision. After all, a cock in the hand is worth two waiting in a bar somewhere on 57th. Gracie straddled his hips and rubbed the tip of his cock against --
Beep! Her cell's generic ringtone pleaded for her attention. Gracie bit her lip, hovering above the most inviting, thick... Beep! Shit. It had to be Patrick, and, thus, the precinct. She straightened, preparing a dismount that would make Béla Károlyi proud.
"Don't answer it, Gracie." Kevin grunted, grabbing her ass and lifting his hips until the tip of his engorged cock...
Yeah, yeah, you got it, bebeee! Yeah, yeah, let's let it happeeeen... Kevin's ringtone blared from his jeans' pocket, mixing with Gracie's to create a cacophony of technogark frightening enough to scare the devil himself. Kevin's expression changed from lustful to horrified in an instant. "Esther," he mouthed, as if his fiancée might hear him all the way over in the Bronx. Frantic, he nearly knocked Gracie off the bed to get to the miniature radio station broadcasting from his pocket.
"Don't answer it, Gracie," she mimicked in a falsetto voice, making a face as he flipped his cell open and gasped into the mic.
"Hey, baby, I'm missin' you so much. What's up, honeypot?"
Shaking her head, Gracie crawled across the bed toward the bedside table, ignoring Kevin's hand signals to silence the annoying beeping beast more quickly.
"That beep? What beep? I don't hear no beep, baby. It's probably your phone," he lied, then held the phone away from his face and whispered furiously, "Don't that thing go to goddamn voicemail?"
"Never," Gracie mouthed back, waving him off with her middle finger and pressing the call button on her phone with the other. He grabbed his jeans and T-shirt and headed to the bathroom. She glared after him. So much for one for the road.
"What do you want?" Gracie snapped at the unlucky caller on the other end. It might be a long time until she got laid again, and if her needs weren't met, her libido got in the way of her focusing on the job. Logic dictated she get enough sex or it could affect her job performance, and Gracie was all about logic. Except for now.
Hearty laughter greeted her on the other end of the line and the insane urge to kick her partner's ass fought with rational thought for control of her faculties. Rational thought won, as usual, but barely. "I interrupt an interlude, did I, Detective Usher?" Patrick's cheerful voice only darkened her mood.
"This better be good. He's a construction worker, and I was just about to set his two-by-four into place, if you know what I mean."
"Were you going to clean his petcock, too?" Patrick baited. Gracie shook her head. After five years of being her partner, he still sucked at classifying her lovers.
"That's a plumber, idiot."
"Sorry. Get all those handymen mixed up," he jibed. A loud bark exploded in the background and suddenly he went somber on her. "Look, Gracie, I think you need to get down here. Something big is happening. Don't know what, but if Fields is here, then he doesn't want you on whatever case it is. Which means it's important."
Gracie winced. Shit. Commissioner Fields had hated her ever since she refused to fuck him in the den of a house owned by a government official who spent more money on floral arrangements than she made in a year -- and during a holiday party no less. He'd tried to get rid of her several times since, but her ability to solve cases over the years had impressed the right people.
Her skill meant good PR for the department, and good PR outranked a philandering, drunken bastard police commissioner any day. Unfortunately, his low self-esteem allowed him to wrongly assume she slept with everyone else in the precinct, probably the city, and he chose to take her rebuke of him as if he were the only man in America she hadn't taken a tumble with. Her insistence that she rejected most guys on the basis they were losers like him only pissed him off even more. Rats.
"Thanks, Rick. Be there in twenty," she said, already on her way to kick Kevin out of the shower. Or maybe not. Perhaps a quickie on the bathroom floor? Tempting, but her intuition told her she needed to get downtown as soon as humanly possible. Loud bickering filtered over the line and the strained edge in Rick's voice confirmed her suspicions.
"Better make it ten, Gracie. It doesn't look good."

Adara tilted her head back. A gull circled far above her. Its presence didn't surprise her. The bird, housing the soul of a human, followed her everywhere. Only when a young siren mastered her song would the soul be set free. Adara sighed. It was a constant reminder that she should practice.
She released a note into the air, her voice pure and strong. A siren's song was laced with yearning, she had been told. The only yearning Adara knew was for adventure so she sang of her desire to be free of her island prison. She pressed her hands to her abdomen. She sang of how she wished to spread her clipped wings and fly.
The gull drifted away on a southbound wind and Adara's shoulders slumped. She was a failure. She would spend eternity trapped on the island of Sirenum Scopuli, doing nothing other than listening as her aunts lured sailors closer.
She wouldn't survive such torture. She had to escape. She hiked down to the shore, the spray plastering her cotton shift to her body. A rope wet from the sea lay upon the rocks. Adara added it to her pile of material. Her heart lightened. If last night's debris was any indication, she would need only three more shipwrecks before she began building.
Having studied extensively the vessels the humans traveled in, she had a design in mind. Adara weaved between the rocks, searching for planks. She didn't need a ship as large. She needed a vessel like -- Adara stopped, her eyes widening -- like that one. A boat was moored an easy swim away. She blinked. Was this a trick by the gods? She took a tentative step toward the vision.
A hand covered her mouth, and she was yanked back against a hard chest, her wings folded in tightly. She struggled, kicking up water and sand. "Hush, my beauty. I have you," a deep voice rumbled in her ear.
It was a male voice. Adara froze. No man since her father had reached the island alive. She twisted her head. A blue-eyed gaze met hers, and her heart fluttered. He had the blond good looks of Apollo, the most handsome of all the gods.
"Don't fight me." The flat of a knife pressed between her breasts. "I don't wish to hurt you." As Adara didn't wish to be hurt, she forced her body to relax. "I would not need my knife to do so. You're smaller than I expected." His breath was warm upon her cheek.
He wasn't what she expected a human to be, either. His chin was coarse with stubble. His form was all defined muscle, unyielding against her curves. His cock pressed hard between her soft ass cheeks as she wiggled.
"Be still, siren. I have caught you and I plan to keep you." His arms tightened even more around her. "I'm taking you away with me."
He was taking her away? She glanced at the boat. He had come to rescue her? She immediately rejected that hopeful thought. He didn't know her. He knew only what she was, capturing her for his own benefit. She would be his prisoner, exchanging this cell for one of his making.
"You have no claws, no hair of snakes, no breath of fire." He slid the knife back in its sheath.
Claws? Adara frowned against his palm. Did he think her a monster? "Will you promise not to scream, little one, if I remove my hand?"
If she screamed, the other sirens would come. More fearful of the gods than she was, they'd take him away from her. The moored boat would be sunk. Her pile of boat building materials would be destroyed. She'd never escape. No, she wouldn't scream. Adara nodded.
"Should I trust a siren?" He hesitated a moment more before removing his hand. He spun her quickly in his arms, his chest flattening her breasts. "Let me look at you." He caught her chin between a callused finger and thumb, raising her face. He breathed in sharply, his blue eyes darkening. "In all my travels, I've never seen a creature as beautiful as you."
He thought her beautiful. Before she could form a proper reply, his mouth descended and all rational thought vanished. His lips pressed insistently against hers. She gasped, her mouth opening, and his tongue slipped between her teeth.
Adara's mind whirled at the sensation. This was kissing. Her aunts' late night reminiscing hadn't prepared her for the reality. He ravished her mouth, stroking into her with an ancient rhythm her body recognized. Adara reached up in response, gripping his shoulders with her fingers, pulling him nearer.

Behind the wheel of the armored personnel carrier, Mack Walker snarled. Even with plugs the explosion pummeled his eardrums. He swerved, narrowly avoiding a barrel rolling into the road. Snipers' bullets ripped through the windows. Mack ducked as glass shattered around them. Behind him someone cried out in pain. He didn't have a chance to find out who -- suddenly, a Humvee screeched to a halt cross-wise in front of him and three of the Dragon's men stepped out, assault rifles already firing.

Mack knew he wasn't going to get out of this alive. The convoy with General Whittaker was due in less than half an hour. Clear the insurgents out, make sure none of the Dragon's men were there. His orders had been clear. He'd be damned if he failed now.

In the passenger seat, his buddy Sawyer whooped and hollered. Leaning nearly halfway out the window, he aimed his rifle at the men and got off several quick shots. One of the snipers fell. A second staggered against the Humvee.

Nice shooting. More gunfire sounded -- Brice and Talon in the back seat firing at insurgents racing toward them from the tall, crumbling buildings by the side of the road. "Hang on," Mack roared. He cranked the wheel.

The vehicle careened. It tilted onto two wheels, righting itself with a rattle of bolts and steel. Someone leapt into the road, spraying bullets in his wake. A quick shot from Sawyer, and another one of the Dragon's men lay dead in the street. Mack made it to the edge of the road, ready to make a u-turn and take out the remaining enemy.

An explosion shattered the building behind him. The vehicle flipped up, end over end.

"What was that?" Brice yelled from the back, never one to cuss even in the midst of battle. Pretty boy Talon shouted something incoherent, and Sawyer, who always loved danger and excitement, kept on yelling as if he were on a roller coaster. Mack gripped the wheel. When the vehicle came down, if it came down, he'd have to steer it back into the fray.

Adrenaline pumped through his veins.

The car hovered. Mack's head slammed into the roof of the Jeep. The impact jarred his teeth and made his eyes close. Then, the vehicle fell from the sky as if someone had dropped it. It landed, bounced, the front axle breaking off. Something snapped. Pain blossomed in his ankle and tore up his leg like a fighter jet down the runway. The nose of the Jeep crumpled and all was still.

Mack sat in deadly silence. He opened his eyes, saw jagged metal and broken bits of plastic. Next to him, Sawyer hung halfway out the window, strung out like a clothesline. Mack glanced behind him. Talon and Brice sat in states of shock. Mute.

His left wrist was bent at an odd angle. Right arm worked. Ribs felt okay. He could breathe. Hell, he was alive! His feet. Oh God, he couldn't feel his feet. He glanced at the floorboard. His boots were twisted well away from the pedals. He had a sinking feeling his feet were with them. With a strangled cry, he reached for the doorknob. His abused wrist screamed as he tried to force the door open. It wouldn't budge!

"Sawyer! Talon! Brice! Report!" His voice sounded harsher than usual.

No one answered.

"Soldiers, report!" He glanced over his shoulder and stared. White light surrounded them. Distantly he heard crying, felt himself being lifted, the Jeep righted.

"I'm sorry, honey, but they're gone." The woman's voice sounded kind, caring, like somebody's mother. "You broke them."

Wails. There was always crying in war. He was used to it, the sounds of glee and adrenaline being replaced by wails of sorrow and frustration. He'd heard it before, usually tuned it out, but one word echoed in his mind. Gone. Darkness surrounded him, and he realized this mission wouldn't be completed. Ever. He'd failed.

* * *

As quickly as the accident happened it was gone. Mack found himself standing in some kind of waiting area, the edges fuzzy gray. Light permeated everything, giving the place a soft glow. He couldn't see what he stood on, though it felt solid beneath his feet... wait... his feet... they'd been torn from his body. He lifted his leg to check.

"You don't want to do that," a deep voice said from somewhere.

Mack looked around. Gingerly, he straightened his leg. What had seemed solid a moment ago was precarious now. He wobbled and hated himself for it. "Who are you? Where are you?"

"She's barely past her first heat, and it's your Alpha's duty to protect her." The newcomer spat on the ground at Jeff's feet, his wrinkled face twisted in anger. "She's my only living blood, and if he lets anything happen to her, I'll rip his heart out with my bare hands."
Jeff raised his brows, amused at the elderly man's nerve. "Quite a statement from an old man. We're not in the protection business and the girl isn't part of our pack. Why doesn't her own pack protect her? And where is she, anyway?"
"Somewhere safe. The bastard son of a mutt back in New York thought he could just take her, use her to improve his bloodline. I'll see him in hell first, and you along with him if you don't do right by her." The older man paced the floor, his agitation showing with every move. His gaze flicked to the doorway. "You'll meet her soon enough. I expect you and your Alpha to look after her." Turning on his heel, he strode out the door without another word.
Jeff turned down the gas flame under the pot of melting chocolate, and followed at a more leisurely pace. Bright sunlight blinded him when he stepped outside, and he raised his hand to shade his eyes. Squinting, he looked around. Where the heck had the old man disappeared to?
Shrugging, he turned to go back inside. He'd never heard of a werewolf losing his grip on reality, but there was definitely something odd about this werewolf. A movement in the shadows beside the house caught his eye. What the hell?
He stepped toward the clump of shrubbery, every nerve on high alert as he scanned his surroundings for a possible ambush. As he got closer, the vague shape coalesced into a woman who lay partially hidden behind the low cedar bushes, trussed up like a turkey ready for the spit. A very petite, very pissed off woman whose startling blue eyes blazed with impotent anger.
This day was getting more bizarre every minute. Jeff hesitated. He decided it would be safer to deal with the woman out of sight of the small town's population, so he used his werewolf strength to hoist her over one shoulder.
Her scent smacked him square in the groin. Werewolf. Female werewolf. He staggered at the unexpected assault on his nerves, almost dropping her on the ground. With his mouth twisting grimly, he made a supreme effort to clamp down on his libido with the iron will that had convinced Jack to make him his Second.
Four swift strides brought him to the doorway and he shouldered his way inside, kicking the door shut behind him. The girl on his shoulder squirmed, enraged grunts issuing from behind her gag. He suspected that once he removed that bit of cloth, he'd wish he hadn't. He kept a firm grip on her until he reached the back room and could drop her on the overstuffed sofa resting against the far wall.
Her breath escaped in an explosive whoosh and she glared at him. Long blonde hair fell about her face in disarray, emphasizing the deep blue of those eyes. He paused, feeling the hot blood stirring in his loins. Her scent drifted up to him; female werewolf in her prime. He'd heard the others talking about the moment when they'd first set eyes on their life-mates, but he'd dismissed it as the ravings of sentimental fools. Now he wasn't so sure. He reached for the bindings on the gag and pulled the strip of cloth away from her mouth.
"I'm going to tear that geriatric old fool apart with my bare hands and teeth!" The girl twisted herself into a sitting position and tossed her head. Silky blonde tresses flowed down her back, and Jeff flexed his fingers, resisting the urge to run them through the thick waves. She moved her hands in his direction, impatience showing on her face. "Don't just stand there like a dumb puppy. Untie me so I can go after the idiot."
Jeff pulled out his pocketknife and snapped the blade open. "Hold still. I don't want to cut you. And if you're talking about an old guy with a few loose marbles, he's long gone. Weird fellow." He pulled the fabric away from her skin and sliced it apart. Idiot perhaps, but the old fart had used Thai silk for the bonds, suggesting he'd planned this abduction in detail and didn't want to hurt her.
His wayward imagination drew a picture of her spread naked on his antique bed, her limbs fixed to the ornate posts with scarves just like these, her magnificent hair spread over his pillows. He blinked and stared warily into her annoyed eyes, thankful she couldn't read his thoughts.

"New guy?" Aaron had been pointed toward the break room. He'd heard a rumor Maddox had brought in breakfast for everyone, and if he knew Maddox that meant anything from towering stacks of pancakes to bacon-chocolate smoothies. As much curiosity as hunger motivated him.
Which pretty much summed up life as he knew it at twentysomethingtwinks.
Seeing Cody loitering in the doorway of one of the shooting rooms was always worth a detour. Bonus: he could check out the show going on inside.
Cody hummed in simple pleasure when Aaron hugged him from behind, a good loose man-hug with that touch of extra heat that triggered a flood of fine memories. Some of them recent. Most of them recent.
Aaron rubbed his thumb over Cody's hipbone, over the bruise he'd left there from sucking and driving his man crazy in the shower. All that before they drove from their new place, much less "condemned dive" and much more uptown, and came to work to have more sex -- and get paid for it.
Life as he knew it at twentysomethingtwinks was in no way a bad thing.
"Hey." Aaron pinched Cody's side; Cody might have calmed down and found his Zen but he still drifted off like nobody's business if you didn't keep him on track. He looked over Cody's shoulder to check it out for himself as he asked again, "New guy?"
Cody waggled his hand to and fro. "Kind of." He tilted his head, checking out the guy inside with both curiosity and the sort of interest one twentysomethingtwinks talent took in another.
Aaron took a good look for himself and whistled softly. The young man wasn't anyone he'd ever seen before, and trust him, he'd have remembered this one. Soft dark hair that fell in wings to his shoulders, the entirety of his body a deep honey-brown, and lips as full and sensual as ripe fruit.
"Sex on legs, isn't he?" Cody asked, watching their "kind of new guy" ease his way out of the solo jerk-off chair.
"Yeah, you'd think."
"Problems?"
Cody shrugged. "It's his third solo vid. He's plenty interested, but he's taking his sweet time deciding, you know? Katherine won't put the pressure on but she keeps bringing him back for solos 'cause she hopes he'll make up his mind to climb that pole. At least that's how I figure it."
"You're probably not wrong and I can't blame her," Aaron said, still watching the honey-skinned utter sensuality of the man and the languid way he moved, washing the sweat from his limbs and the splashes of come from his torso. He glanced sideways at them and offered them a smile that wasn't quite shy, but uncertain.
"Good job, man," Cody said without apology for watching. Then again, if this was the new guy's third go-round, he'd had time to get used to being watched.
"Thank you. I do not believe we have met. I am Guillermo."
"Charmed, believe me," Aaron said. Guillermo had a sweet, sensual accent -- Spanish, maybe Madrid -- that went right to Aaron's gut and traveled lower fast, starting a warming tingle in southward regions. In front of him, Cody could no doubt feel the interest. He shimmied against Aaron and reached back to slap his hip.
Guillermo watched them as intently as they'd watched him. "I have a question, if I may?"
"Ask away," Aaron answered for the both of them. Cody wouldn't mind, and from what Aaron could tell he didn't, leaning back against Aaron with a lazy appreciation.
"How did you become accustomed to this?" Guillermo waved at the room and out into the corridor.
"You mean sex on camera?"
"Yes... and no. Katherine is a good woman. I do like it here." He shook his head. "But there is no… spark, not with any of the men I have met so far. I work alone, hoping, and alone is only good for so long on camera. So I do not know if I am cut out to stay here."
Cody chose his moments to chime in, and he did now in a way that gave Aaron a good shot of déjà vu, taking him right back to the first time he'd started sweet-talking Aaron into giving this gig a try. "But you want to be."
Guillermo ducked his head. A blush spread rosy-red beneath the dark warmth of his skin tone. He mumbled something Aaron couldn't catch.
Aaron didn't have a chance to ask him again. Brandon squeezed through the hallway behind him and Cody and popped Aaron a stinging, playful slap on the hip as he passed by. "Yo. The boss-woman wants you in her office. Pronto."
"We in trouble?"
Brandon paused to wink at Aaron. "Only the good kind, stud. Only the good kind."

When Barbary Pride lions are blamed for the brutal murder of a she-wolf-shifter, animosity flares and tempers ignite. In a moment of desperation, the victim's mate kidnaps Jizette and threatens to return her, one piece at a time, until the murderer is turned over to Timberline pack.
Kage is afraid his grief-stricken friend will follow through with his grisly threat, so he hides the terrified cat, giving her pride time to investigate the murder. Jizette isn't sure what to think of her rescuer. He's gruff and aggressive, and stirs feelings she doesn't want to feel. Interspecies couples are shunned. Forbidden. Yet, the flash of his eyes, and the press of his muscular body, make her burn as never before.
To protect her, Kage must take her beyond the walls of Alpha Colony, and expose her to a world she's never experienced before. His rash plan might incinerate the sheltered beauty, or free her to become more than she ever dreamed possible.

"Halt! Who are you and what's your business in our village?" Duff, the younger of the two Barbary pride sentinels, moved to the edge of the shelter as Amara emerged from the surrounding trees.
Moonlight revealed the purity of his features and a subtle sway in his stance. Good. He was just about ready for her.
She held up both hands and smiled. "I'm unarmed, and I have no interest in the village." She tossed back her hair and licked her lips. Nudity was far less common in the village than in the mountain and forest communities. The cool night air had hardened her nipples, and young Duff was having one hell of a time keeping his gaze on her face. "I came to see you."
"We're on duty, miss." River stepped forward, putting himself between her and Duff. "You'll have to continue this once Duff has finished his rotation."
She brushed her hands down her sides, skimming the outer curve of her breasts as she smiled into River's dark eyes. "I came to cause trouble, and I was hoping both of you would be willing to help me."
"What sort of trouble?" Duff shoved River aside and pulled her into the shelter's relative privacy.
Senauta root freed inhibitions and made the mind susceptible to suggestion. She'd slipped it into their drinking water while they performed their last perimeter sweep. The extract appeared to be working better on Duff than River. Or Duff's youth and inexperience was simply making him easier to corrupt.
She chose her words carefully, not wanting anything she said to make them complicate her mission. "I recently found out that my mate is mounting other females. Not just one, mind you. He pokes his cock into any female who will hold still long enough."
"So you thought you'd repay him in kind?" River's voice took on a dark, smoky quality that made Amara tingle. That was more like it.
"Can you think of a better way to illustrate my disapproval than to crawl into bed beside him reeking of other men?"
"What will keep him from coming after us?" Duff held his ground, but his eyes were wide and luminous.
"He can't identify breed by smell," she assured him, "and we live way up in the hills. Why do you think I came all the way down here to misbehave?"
"This can't take all night," River warned. "Our team leader will turn us in without a second thought if he catches us at this."
"Fine by me." Ulli was the only sentinel who could positively identify her. She had no intention of running into the cantankerous team leader. Shifting position, she made her breasts sway. River was obviously a breast man. The slightest movement drew his gaze like a magnet. "I have only one condition."
River snorted and folded his arms across his chest. He was taller and more muscular than Duff, probably quite a few years older. "Why are there always conditions?"
"You have to come in this." She held up a container by the long leather laces connected to its cap. Though fairly small, the vial's mouth was wide, then graduated, like a built-in funnel. "As I said, we live way up in the hills. I want to make sure I still reek of sex by the time he gets home."
"You are one twisted fuck." River shook his head, but reached for her shoulders. "If she wants this fast and dirty, Duff, we better get to work."
Amara sank to her knees in front of River. Duff knelt behind her and moved her legs farther apart. Despite his apparent youth, Duff obviously knew how to mount a female. She placed the vial within easy reach of the men. Collecting their cum was the purpose for this mission, and she would not let them forget.
