"They have got to be friggin' kidding me. There's no way I'm setting foot on that godforsaken island again. They can kiss my ass." Shelby Morgenson threw the letter down on the coffee table and paced her living room floor.

The nerve of them! How dare they send her another invitation to Chimera! What made the proprietors think she'd want to give them another try? To think that a little over a year ago she'd been so happy. But then her dreams had been dashed just like that.

It was hard not to think of the heartache and betrayal she'd suffered, even after all this time. Shelby remembered the first time she'd gotten a letter like this one. It said she'd won a trip to an all expenses paid resort. All she'd have to do in return was rate their services for a travel brochure.

Her family warned her that what seemed too good to be true probably was, but being the only sibling without a family of her own was lonely. She'd needed to get away and sort herself out. She figured even if staying on the island did cost her something, it would be worth the stay.

"What's wrong, sis?" Cindy asked, patting her three-month-old daughter on the back, trying to get her to burp.

Shelby handed her the letter and watched her sister frown as she glanced over the contents. "Is this something you're considering?"

"Hell no. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I'm staying away from that godforsaken island. Besides, I just got approved for a loan to open my own nature shop. I have too much on my plate to deal with that crap right now -- or ever."

"Well, I can't really say that I blame you, hon. You were handed a pretty raw deal. For that year we had no word from you, we thought the worst. Now the thought of you going to that place again to meet God knows what is scary. They could whisk you off to some heathen place, and who knows how long it will be before we hear from you this time."

"You're preaching to the choir, Cindy. I want nothing to do with Chimera Island or its inhabitants."

"Good girl. This is probably the best decision. Besides, from what you've told me, those... creatures over there turned on you. If you went back, you could meet something or someone far worse."

Shelby rolled her eyes. She loved her older sister, but once Cindy got on a rant it was hard to stop her. "Yeah, Cindy, I know."

"And another thing. I'm still a little miffed at you for not giving me the full story. I thought we were close. You used to tell me everything."

"I did when we were kids, but now we have separate lives. You have your own family to worry about." Just then her niece, Emily, let out a loud belch. A content smile spread on her cherubic face.

"That's Mommy's good girl," Cindy cooed, smoothing down Emily's flaxen curls.

Shelby held out her arms. "Let me hold her."

Cindy handed over the gurgling baby, mindful of Emily's head and neck. Shelby's heart melted as her niece rested a soft cheek against hers. Holding the baby close, she inhaled the fresh powder scent. She walked over to her couch and sat down to tickle the baby's tummy. "Hey, pretty girl."

Emily blew a spit bubble and waved a starfish-shaped hand in the air.

Shelby released an inward sigh. When would it be her turn? At thirty-five she was tired of being the doting aunt. She wanted to have a couple of rug rats of her own. She supposed, if she really wanted to, she could visit a sperm bank, but the traditionalist in her found the thought of having a turkey baster as her child's father distasteful.

She wanted a husband, some animals and the proverbial white picket fence -- the whole nine yards. Shelby realized hers wasn't the most modern attitude, and the feminists would have a field day with her, but there it was. She'd already accomplished so much in her life, earning her bachelor's and master's degrees in forestry, the outdoors being her passion. She'd traveled the world, had her dream job, and was now starting her own business. What was wrong with wanting to share all of that with someone?

"She's gotten so big since the last time you brought her over here, and her features are getting more distinctive."

Cindy plopped down next to her. "Yes, she is adorable. I'm annoyed that I was the one who carried her for nine months but she looks like Bob, right down to her smile. I think I was just an incubator. You know, after four kids, you'd think I'd have one who looks like me," she sighed with disgust.

"Hey, the man has super sperm."

Cindy rolled her eyes. "Super sperm my hiney. You should see him walking around the house like a rooster with his chest all puffed out."

"But you love him."

A content smile touched the older woman's pink lips. "Yes, I do, and I pray that you'll find a man who'll love and respect you for who you are. You're smart, beautiful, and kind."

Shelby laughed with an ironic titter. "I thought I'd found that, but I guess I was wrong."

"You never really went into detail about what happened when you went to live with those men. That's another thing I found a little shocking about the whole fiasco you got yourself involved in. What manner of people were they that allowed a woman to be with three men? While I'm sure having three guys is nice fantasy material, the reality has to be a whole lot different."

The reality had been much better, until things went horribly wrong, she wanted to say, but instead Shelby said, "I hardly believe what happened to me either. When I came back, I had to fake amnesia for the sake of the press and the others because no way would anyone believe what I'd gone through. You're the only one who knows anything about my experiences on Chimera and Laiocean. If I told the others, they'd have me committed."

"I'm still debating whether I should have you committed, but even as a kid you were never one to make up wild stories."

"I don't think I could make up anything like this if I tried. Things that we thought were just stories to scare and amuse us when we were children are real. Vampires, Werewolves, Incubi, Aliens, Demons, and things I can't even name roamed that island freely. It was like a big Halloween party but everyone wore beach gear."

"Tell me about the three men... creatures you were with?"

Shelby shifted her now sleeping niece in her arms. "What's there to say? I fell in love with them and they broke my heart."

"All of them?"

"Yes. It's so weird because I used to think you can only love one person, but I loved them all equally and intensely. There was something special about every one of them. Tegor was the tall, dark warrior. They were all virile, alpha males, but Tegor... he would throw me against the wall, pull my hair back, take what he wanted, and make me like it. Then there was Rain -- his smile was contagious. He always knew what to say to bring my spirits up and he made me laugh. Geho was the silent, tender one. We could communicate without even speaking."

Shelby's mind drifted to the time when she'd first met them. She'd been on the beach and couldn't quite get her suntan lotion on her entire back. That's when three gorgeous men approached her to offer their services. Each one of them had been tall and broad, with aquamarine eyes. Tegor had been the dark one with long hair the color of a moonless sky, shaggy and wild. Rain's stick straight brown hair rested on his shoulders while Geho had a mop of dark blond curls giving him an almost angelic look.

With just one glance, her bikini bottom had become instantly wet. They were so gorgeous she didn't even notice their tails until later on in their acquaintance when they revealed to her that they were shifters. Hesitant at first about being with three men at once, Shelby soon found herself falling hard for each one of them.

Cindy cleared her throat to get Shelby's attention. "Hmm. Except for the freaky sex part, I have all of that in Bob. Why do you need three guys to provide you with what one good man can do?"

"It's hard to explain. They all shared a lot of the same qualities, but each one of them brought something to the table. As for finding a guy with all those qualities, come on. What world do you live in? As wonderful as you claim Bob is, don't you sometimes complain that you wish you two were more intimate at times and you wish he'd do more around the house? No one is perfect and neither were they, but the connection was undeniable."

"Until they turned their backs on you at the first sign of trouble. Some men they turned out to be."

"Cut, people. That's a wrap. You've done a great job on this film. Tomorrow is finito!"

Amanda Carlisle didn't acknowledge the cheers, nor did she join in. Head down, she rushed from the soundstage and headed for her trailer.

Her personal assistant and bodyguard, all six foot six of big, black male, blocked her entrance. "What's the rush, missy? That's not the face I'm used to seeing at the end of a shoot."

Amanda curled her lip and wished she felt like smiling. "Who the hell do you think you are? Mr. Clean? What's with the shaved head, Lester?"

Les grinned and tugged at the big gold ring hanging from his left ear. "I thought it complemented the bling. You mean you don't like the look?"

"You look so damned sexy you make my teeth itch." Amanda ran her hand down his bare chest. Everything about Lester Ondáge was perfect.

Well, almost everything.

"Ms. Carlisle? Over here!"

A flash bulb momentarily blinded her.

"Oh shit." Amanda ducked her head and slipped around Les. He moved his big frame aside and she raced into the trailer.

Les closed the door behind her, but she still heard his deep voice and the mumbles of disgruntled paparazzi.

"No pictures of Ms. Carlisle, fellas. Now, how'd you get back here? This area is off limits to press."

"Is it true? Has Franklin dumped Amanda from No Love Again?"

"What's the deal, Lester? Rumors are flying fast and furious. What about the reports of all the dissent on the set of Tomorrow? Word's out Ms. Carlisle is getting real hard to work with, that she put the film way over budget."

"Ms. Carlisle is always a professional. Word of her being replaced on the No Love Again cast is pure rumor. You know how it is in this business. Now, the lady is tired and she needs her rest. We'll see you at the cast party, I imagine."

Amanda groaned and buried her head in her hands. She'd forgotten about the damned party. She heard the door close, felt the warm strength of Lester's hands working the strained muscles in her neck.

"Good Lord, Les. Now that's magic."

"You're tight as a spring, missy. Can I get you some Ibuprofen?"

"I'd rather have a glass of brandy. A big one."

"You can have a small one and that's it. As tired as you are, you'd be on your cute little ass by dinnertime. I'm sure those jokers would love a picture of that."

Les poured a small shot of amber liquid into a plastic cup, then squatted down in front of Amanda and handed it to her. He wrapped her small hands in his big ones, cradling hers as she held the cup. "It'll be fine, sweetie. Relax."

Amanda leaned close and brushed her lips over Les's extraordinary mouth. He kissed her back, his full lips caressing hers with just the right pressure to hint of more.

"Damn you, Lester. You're perfect. Why the hell are you gay?"

He leaned back and grinned at Amanda. "That's the way the good Lord made me, sweetie. Just like he made you the most gorgeous woman on earth with a heart so full of love you sometimes make me think of putting the moves on you, just to feel your glow."

Amanda snorted. "Yeah. Right." She cupped the side of his face with the palm of her hand. "Thank you, Les. You always make it better."

Les sighed. "I can't fix this, though, can I?"

Amanda shook her head. "The magic's gone. I felt it from the first line of the script. It was a damned good story and I blew what could have been an Oscar quality performance. Les, I don't know what to do. Those guys were right. Franklin's trying to force me off his movie. William said..."

"William's an ass."

"He's also my agent, and a damned good one. He said Franklin's people are planting the word all over town that I'm through, that I'll kill the project." She sniffed and took a sip of brandy.

Les brushed her hair, bleached silver blonde for the film, back from her face. "You're a professional, but you're human. You're tired. You've done three films, back to back, and you haven't taken even a weekend break."

There wouldn't be a break for her now, either. No Love Again was due to start shooting on Monday. In Chicago. Damn, she hated Chicago.

"I've got an idea, but you might not like it." Les stood up and reached into the overhead compartment where he kept her papers. He pulled a long envelope out of the stack then sat down in the small chair next to Amanda's.

Les didn't open it. He sat there, tapping the envelope on his knee, staring at Amanda as if he were contemplating the end of the world.

Amanda opened her mouth to ask him what the hell was going on, when he took a deep breath and held up the envelope. "You're not going to like what I think you should do, but hear me out, okay?"

Amanda frowned and nodded. This was so unlike Les. He actually seemed nervous.

"I want you to have William contact Franklin, tell him you think Ashley Jenson would make a better Lisa than you. Pull yourself off the film. Don't give him the chance to do it... it would hurt your career too much. You know Franklin would love to get out of the contract and..."

Amanda sat back and blinked. No way in hell would... "I don't break contracts, Les. You know that.""

"I said, hear me out." He stood up, paced a few steps away, then whirled around. "This is an invitation to a very special resort. I've heard of it but never knew for sure it really existed. I checked. This invitation is for real and it's addressed to you. It's an island called Chimera -- a Caribbean island smack-dab in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle. No paparazzi, no one who knows who you are, no make-up people knocking on your door at four in the morning, just a beautiful island where you can relax, regroup..."

Amanda sighed, caught up in the mesmerizing cadence of Les's soft words. He described heaven. Warm sands, endless miles of beach, an elite clientele completely disinterested in her Hollywood status.

"Think about it, sweetie. It's your chance to..."

"Get the magic back."

Amanda's whisper hung between them. She looked up at Lester and smiled. Suddenly it all felt right. "Maybe you're right, Les. Tell you what, I'll do exactly what you say, but there's one condition."

Les blinked. Obviously he hadn't expected her to give in so quickly.

"I'll drop out of No Love Again and I'll take this vacation you're so convinced I need, but only if you go with me."

The expression on Lester's face was worth any contract for any movie ever made. "Close your mouth, Lester. You'll catch a fly." Amanda reached across the small space between them and snatched the envelope out of his suddenly lifeless fingers. "I'm not trying to seduce you, Lester. Think about it. You work just as hard as I do. You're just as lonely as I am. Separate rooms, we go our own way, but I'll feel safer knowing you're nearby. Will you come with me?"

Les cleared his throat. "Uh, I'm not on the invitation."

Amanda stood up, feeling more energized, more alive, than she'd felt in ages. "You are now. Here." She handed the envelope back to Les. "Make the arrangements and see how soon we can arrive. I think it's time for both of us to find the magic."

Amelia Patton clattered up the beige stairs of the apartment complex, the plastic dress bag hooked over one shoulder. It had been a long shift at the hospital, but the prospect of showing David her purchase had put a bounce back in her step. The gown was every little girl's fairytale dream -- seed pearls, white lace, and yards and yards of satin skirt, with a train that would reach halfway down the church aisle. The lace veil alone had her inner eight-year-old sighing in bliss.

Clutching her precious dress with one hand, she juggled the keys until she found the right one and inserted it into the lock. The door swung open, revealing the living room that had made real strides in livability over the past two months. When she'd first moved in, David's furniture had consisted of a couch he'd bought at Goodwill and a really tacky table made from a cable spool. The big screen television and entertainment center were worth more than all the rest of the furniture in the apartment. God love the man, he was too butch for taste.

Amelia had coaxed him into replacing the castoffs with a lovely cream living room set, colorful pastel sketches, and a pretty floor lamp with a stained glass shade. She made good money as a nurse, she argued. They could afford it.

"Honey, I'm home!" God, she loved saying that.

No answer. She frowned. It was well after midnight; David would be home from his shift with the Atlanta Police. Unless something had happened... A frisson of fear slid up her spine, but she forced it away. "Hey, Dave! I went by the mall on my dinner break and picked up that gown I told you about. Wait 'til you see it..."

The bedsprings creaked from the next room. "Amelia." His voice sounded hoarse.

"Hey, babe, you okay? Did you get into another fight?" That was how they'd met. David had come by the ER after a drug dealer resisted arrest with a little too much enthusiasm. She'd been smearing antibiotic cream across those sculpted ribs when he'd asked her to dinner. Amelia had looked into those crystalline blue eyes, and fallen helplessly in lust. She hadn't been able to say no to him since.

A year later, she still lusted for him -- but she'd also come to know and love his wicked sense of humor, strong character, and clever mind.

"Come here." David normally reserved that cold, demanding tone for the prisoners he brought to the hospital after they'd tried to bust his head. He'd never before used it with her.

"David, what's wrong?" Worried, Amelia hurried into the bedroom, the dress slung over her shoulder.

They'd bought the massive iron bedstead in an antique store when she'd moved in with him. David had teased her that its tall, ornate posts were perfect for bondage.

She'd still never expected to find him naked and shackled spread-eagle to it like a beefcake buffet.

David was a big man, as dark as she was blonde, broad shouldered and narrow hipped. He spent a couple of hours in the department gym four days a week, building the layers of rippling muscle he considered an occupational necessity for a beat cop. Adding to the impression of overwhelming masculinity, a dark ruff of hair spread across his chest and arrowed down his cobblestone belly toward his thick cock.

His face was just as broad and angular as his tough body, with prominent cheekbones and a regal nose, straight and narrow. His mouth added the only note of sensual vulnerability about him with its full lower lip and lush upper curve. A hint of a dimple graced one corner, giving his smile a boyish charm.

"Yum," Amelia purred, grinning at the sight of him spread out in chains. "For me?"

"What do you think?" His cock stirred hungrily, and he stared at her like a cat watching a caged canary.

She rocked back on the rubber heels of her shoes and grinned. "This is an interesting switch. Usually I'm the one tied to that bed."

"Come here," he said again. His blue eyes blazed with lust.

Smiling wickedly, Amelia paused just long enough to hang the dress in the closet. Then, reaching for the hem of her scrubs, she started toward him. But before she could reach his side, she realized something was wrong. He was far too pale, in the way she'd come to associate with massive blood loss, and his face was drawn. She let the hem drop. "David, are you okay?"

"I said come here!" he roared, peeling his lips back from his teeth in a savage snarl.

He had fangs.

Sharp, white, damn near two inches long, they made his handsome, sensual mouth look alien and threatening.

They couldn't possibly be real.

She gave him an uncertain smile. This must be some kind of new sex game, and yet... "What's with the Count Dracula dental work? Halloween isn't for three months."

"Get over here!" He lunged at her so hard the bed danced on the floor, but he couldn't break the chains. The iron posts began to bend.

Amelia jumped back, sick horror creeping over her with the knowledge this was no joke. Strong as he was, there was no way he should be able to bend the solid iron headboard. "Jesus, David! What the hell is going on?"

"What are you doing here?" a female voice demanded. Amelia whirled as a woman she'd never seen before stepped into the room. The stranger barely came up to her shoulder, a petite brunette with a wealth of sable hair and a small, heart-shaped face. She wore jeans and a black knit top that made the most of impressive breasts. Her frown was ferocious as she glared up at Amelia. "You don't belong here, it's too dangerous. You must leave until this is finished." She stalked past on booted feet, pulling a familiar plastic bag out of her purse. Before Amelia could ask where the hell she'd gotten a unit of whole blood, she snatched a pair of scissors off the table, clipped the top off the bag, and thrust it into David's mouth. He began to drink thirstily.

Blood. He was drinking blood.

Like some kind of vampire.

A sense of unreality crashed in. Amelia took a step back. David. Naked. With a strange woman. Chained to a bed. Drinking blood. "Who the hell are you? Will somebody please tell me what's going on?"

"Get out!" the brunette snapped. She had an exotic accent, clipped and Slavic. "If he breaks loose from these chains, he'll kill you. Go! When he is sane again, I will tell you." She had fangs too.

Amelia's jaw dropped. "You're a vampire!"

The brunette shot her a glare. "Congratulations. Your grasp of the obvious is stunning. Now use those dubious wits and get out while you still can."

Still drinking, David rolled his blue eyes in her direction. The depths of his eyes glinted red. There was nothing at all sane in his gaze.

Amelia whirled and ran.

Lust at first sightAt 6’ 6”, ebony skinned bodyguard Lester Ondáge radiates enough pure, unadulterated sex to drive a sane man crazy. The effect on a love-starved gay Elf is practically lethal.

Lester and Tady could be the perfect match -- if they can bring their employers together.

There’s a small glitch… Lorcan and Amanda.Lorcan, Crown Prince of the Northern Realm, has a problem. He doesn't want a wife, but if he doesn’t find one on his own, his mother’s going to choose one for him -- the last thing any self-respecting Dragon wants. He might be willing to change his mind, now that he’s found his “Chosen One” -- but the last thing Amanda, a successful but unhappy Hollywood star, wants is a man -- or a Dragon -- with attitude. Lester and Tady have their work cut out for them, but on the magical island of Chimera, miracles can -- and do -- happen!

Tomorrow is finito!”Amanda Carlisle didn’t acknowledge the cheers, nor did she join in. Head down, she rushed from the soundstage and headed for her trailer. Her personal assistant and bodyguard, all six foot six of big, black male, blocked her entrance. “What’s the rush, missy? That’s not the face I’m used to seeing at the end of a shoot.”Amanda curled her lip and wished she felt like smiling. “Who the hell do you think you are? Mr. Clean? What’s with the shaved head, Lester?”Les grinned and tugged at the big gold ring hanging from his left ear. “I thought it complemented the bling. You mean you don’t like the look?”“You look so damned sexy you make my teeth itch.” Amanda ran her hand down his bare chest. Everything about Lester Ondáge was perfect.Well, almost everything.“Ms. Carlisle? Over here!”A flash bulb momentarily blinded her.“Oh shit.” Amanda ducked her head and slipped around Les. He moved his big frame aside and she raced into the trailer.Les closed the door behind her, but she still heard his deep voice and the mumbles of disgruntled paparazzi.“No pictures of Ms. Carlisle, fellas. Now, how’d you get back here? This area is off limits to press.”“Is it true? Has Franklin dumped Amanda from No Love Again?”“What’s the deal, Lester? Rumors are flying fast and furious. What about the reports of all the dissent on the set of Tomorrow? Word’s out Ms. Carlisle is getting real hard to work with, that she put the film way over budget.”“Ms. Carlisle is always a professional. Word of her being replaced on the No Love Again cast is pure rumor. You know how it is in this business. Now, the lady is tired and she needs her rest. We’ll see you at the cast party, I imagine.”Amanda groaned and buried her head in her hands. She’d forgotten about the damned party. She heard the door close, felt the warm strength of Lester’s hands working the strained muscles in her neck.“Good Lord, Les. Now that’s magic.”“You’re tight as a spring, missy. Can I get you some Ibuprofen?”“I’d rather have a glass of brandy. A big one.”“You can have a small one and that’s it. As tired as you are, you’d be on your cute little ass by dinnertime. I’m sure those jokers would love a picture of that.”Les poured a small shot of amber liquid into a plastic cup, then squatted down in front of Amanda and handed it to her. He wrapped her small hands in his big ones, cradling hers as she held the cup. “It’ll be fine, sweetie. Relax.”Amanda leaned close and brushed her lips over Les’s extraordinary mouth. He kissed her back, his full lips caressing hers with just the right pressure to hint of more.“Damn you, Lester. You’re perfect. Why the hell are you gay?”He leaned back and grinned at Amanda. “That’s the way the good Lord made me, sweetie. Just like he made you the most gorgeous woman on earth with a heart so full of love you sometimes make me think of putting the moves on you, just to feel your glow.”Amanda snorted. “Yeah. Right.” She cupped the side of his face with the palm of her hand. “Thank you, Les. You always make it better.”Les sighed. “I can’t fix this, though, can I?”Amanda shook her head. “The magic’s gone. I felt it from the first line of the script. It was a damned good story and I blew what could have been an Oscar quality performance. Les, I don’t know what to do. Those guys were right. Franklin’s trying to force me off his movie. William said…”“William’s an ass.”“He’s also my agent, and a damned good one. He said Franklin’s people are planting the word all over town that I’m through, that I’ll kill the project.” She sniffed and took a sip of brandy.Les brushed her hair, bleached silver blonde for the film, back from her face. “You’re a professional, but you’re human. You’re tired. You’ve done three films, back to back, and you haven’t taken even a weekend break.”There wouldn’t be a break for her now, either. No Love Again was due to start shooting on Monday. In Chicago. Damn, she hated Chicago.“I’ve got an idea, but you might not like it.” Les stood up and reached into the overhead compartment where he kept her papers. He pulled a long envelope out of the stack then sat down in the small chair next to Amanda’s.Les didn’t open it. He sat there, tapping the envelope on his knee, staring at Amanda as if he were contemplating the end of the world.Amanda opened her mouth to ask him what the hell was going on, when he took a deep breath and held up the envelope. “You’re not going to like what I think you should do, but hear me out, okay?”Amanda frowned and nodded. This was so unlike Les. He actually seemed nervous.“I want you to have William contact Franklin, tell him you think Ashley Jenson would make a better Lisa than you. Pull yourself off the film. Don’t give him the chance to do it… it would hurt your career too much. You know Franklin would love to get out of the contract and…”Amanda sat back and blinked. No way in hell would… “I don’t break contracts, Les. You know that.”“I said, hear me out.” He stood up, paced a few steps away, then whirled around. “This is an invitation to a very special resort. I’ve heard of it but never knew for sure it really existed. I checked. This invitation is for real and it’s addressed to you. It’s an island called Chimera -- a Caribbean island smack-dab in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle. No paparazzi, no one who knows who you are, no make-up people knocking on your door at four in the morning, just a beautiful island where you can relax, regroup…”Amanda sighed, caught up in the mesmerizing cadence of Les’s soft words. He described heaven. Warm sands, endless miles of beach, an elite clientele completely disinterested in her Hollywood status.“Think about it, sweetie. It’s your chance to…”“Get the magic back.”Amanda’s whisper hung between them. She looked up at Lester and smiled. Suddenly it all felt right. “Maybe you’re right, Les. Tell you what, I’ll do exactly what you say, but there’s one condition.”Les blinked. Obviously he hadn’t expected her to give in so quickly.“I’ll drop out of No Love Again and I’ll take this vacation you’re so convinced I need, but only if you go with me.”The expression on Lester’s face was worth any contract for any movie ever made. “Close your mouth, Lester. You’ll catch a fly.” Amanda reached across the small space between them and snatched the envelope out of his suddenly lifeless fingers. “I’m not trying to seduce you, Lester. Think about it. You work just as hard as I do. You’re just as lonely as I am. Separate rooms, we go our own way, but I’ll feel safer knowing you’re nearby. Will you come with me?”Les cleared his throat. “Uh, I’m not on the invitation.”Amanda stood up, feeling more energized, more alive, than she’d felt in ages. “You are now. Here.” She handed the envelope back to Les. “Make the arrangements and see how soon we can arrive. I think it’s time for both of us to find the magic.”
