The Saturday Book Diver Interviews Calen from Show Me by Megan Slayer

Welcome to the Saturday Book Diver! Today I'm in Cleveland talking to Calen from Show Me by Megan Slayer. We're in front of the fireplace in his posh apartment. Seated in comfortable, oversized chairs, we're ready to get down to business.

SBD: Hi, Calen. Thank you for talking to me today.

Calen: You’re welcome. I didn’t realize anyone would want to know about the games I play with my girlfriend, Elisha. Thank you.

SBD: Are you kidding? Your kind of games have definitely roused our curiosity! Tell us about yourself.

Calen: Ah…where should I start? I’m not the most intriguing man. I think I’m boring. I know what I want and how I plan to get it. I’m driven and can be ruthless, but those have made me good at business. I deal in antique art and know a bargain when I see it. I’m a dominating person in and out of the bedroom, but it works in my current relationship, so I’m happy.

[I can see he’s a man with a powerful personality, the kind many people would be drawn to.]

SBD: Tell us about your girlfriend, Elisha.

Calen: She’s the love of my life. I can’t see my life without her and when I first met her, I wouldn’t have said that. She’s the bright spot in my day and the one person who can argue with me. [sits back in his chair and folds his hands] She’s my complement. I never thought I’d be able to commit myself. I’ve been too immersed in my work. But the moment I get home, she’s all I think about. I love her.

SBD: What's Elisha's strongest characteristic or quality?

Calen: She’s an artist and can recreate just about any scene on paper after only looking at it for a small amount of time. She drew sketches of the sculpture we saw in Rome.  No pictures to look off of, just from memory. She’s got a fantastic memory and she’s very disciplined. Once she gets her mind on something, she doesn’t deviate...which can lead to some very hot nights.

SBD: I've heard you've recently issued a challenge to Elisha. What can you tell us about that?

Calen: I love to look at her. She’s a beautiful woman. I issued her the challenge to stand before the window in our apartment, the one that faces the street below, and wait for me—naked. I wasn’t sure she’d do it. She loves my challenges, but that one pushed rather far. She impressed me, though. I know how far to push her and I knew she’d love the contrast of cold on her hot skin. I’m glad she accepted the challenge.

SBD: I’m sure she was glad too! The Book Diver magic is starting to run out for today. Before I go, is there anything you'd like to add?

Calen: That’s too bad the magic is running out. This has been a nice time. I like being able to talk about my girl and how much I love her, even if I am a man of few words. It’s hard for me to vocalize how I feel about Ellie and I’m working towards it. I really am. I love her and I fear my inability to tell her will drive her away. Hopefully soon I’ll break through that roadblock.

[It’s hard to resist a guy who’s outwardly tough but with so much passion underneath. I’m sure Ellie feels that way too.]

SBD: I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the interview! I’m sure readers will, too. Would you provide one of your favorite excerpts from Show Me?

Calen: Absolutely. I love when she surrenders and accepts the challenge. Here you go:

Footsteps thumped behind her on the hardwood floors. Shimmers of want
coursed to her core. Cream coated her pussy. He’d come home. She opened her mouth
to speak, but remained quiet. The message had said nothing about talking. Just waiting.
Nude. Vulnerable.

“Good girl.”

His voice, scratchy and deep, threaded around her brain. Her cunt throbbed for
him. Damn her sex drive. Damn him for using it against her. Manipulating her. And
every time, she came back for more. God help her, she loved him more than she
realized.

Her gaze switched from the action on the street below to the reflection in the
glass. Her cheeks flushed with crimson. As if she conjured him, Calen appeared behind
her. His azure eyes sparkled in the lamplight. His lips curved into a smirk. Using his
index finger, he brushed a lock of her ebony hair aside and nuzzled her neck. The
contrast of his tanned skin against her pale shoulder always thrilled her. When he
spoke, her control splintered.

“You please me.” Calen kissed her neck, the action whispery soft against her
pulse. “They can see you. They want you.” He shifted his hips, rubbing the silk of his suit jacket lapels along her spine and ass. His hands roamed her stomach and the swell
of her hips, not quite finding the apex of her thighs.

She bit back the moan building in her chest. If he touched a little lower… just a
little farther down.

“Bad girl.” Calen smoothed his palms along her ribcage and grasped her nipples
between his thumbs and forefingers. “They want to see you come. You aren’t here for
them. Are you?” His hands stilled at her waist. “Are you?”

“For you, Sir.”

“Yes,” he hissed. Plunging two fingers into her pussy, he held her close to his
body and wrenched the breath from her chest. His thumb grazed her clit, sending a
shimmer of sparks through her veins. Cream slickened her inner thighs. The first waves
of ecstasy slammed into her brain and quaked in her belly. So close and too damn fast.
Not yet, she warned herself. Not yet.

“Do you want to come?”

Whew! I need a glass of ice water after that one!

Calen escorts me to the door and the Book Diver Magic takes me back to my world, but I can't help thinking about Calen, Elisha and the challenge. To find out what happens, check out
